Echelon Skating Center 1200 White Horse Rd., Voorhees, NJ. That is great they did raise money for Arthritis Foundation. You know that roller skating is excellent on joints? Especially knees? Try skating everyone! Hmm.. Only if I had a time machine... Dang, I am over 35 years too late to ask one out. Haha. Courtesy of Courier Post - 5 June 1987.

Echelon Skating Center 1200 White Horse Rd., Voorhees, NJ
Echelon Skating Center was at 1200 White Horse Road in Voorhees, New Jersey. It began in 1976, the American Bicentennial Celebration. But they closed in the year 2000, the Second Millennial Celebration. From one to another!
It was owned and operated by Ted and Sue Rendfrey who also owned other rinks, and a part owner named Elsie M. Welch.
Ted Rendfrey owned Cherry Hill Skating Center, Holiday Skating Center, and the Palace Roller Skating Center in Philadephia, PA.
The building where the rink was converted into a shopping center. Likely the shopping center expanded as well according to photos I saw on Loop Net and confirmed on Google Maps.
The Interior.
The floor apparently has to be wood. Maple? Not sure. Those photos from newspapers showed a lot of people and children so due to our policy, we do not show photos of children up close. ONLY their rear, or blurred face IN THE DISTANCE or BACKGROUND.
I attempted to find out more and are unavailable to find more photos.
The Exterior.
It was a freestanding but when sold, it became a shopping plaza. The building is still there but totaled renovated into a shopping plaza. The appearance is unknown. Photos of both interior and exterior would be appreciated!

Thank you for understanding.
Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
