Keys and terminology

Keys as in understanding what they are as well as terminology.  This assists you understand how this website functions.  Why those rinks are colored, things like that.
FONTS COLORS

The Red fonts means no information on some rinks and no clickable link.  Ie- Crystal Canyon Skate Palace 22nd Street, Tucson, AZ

The Blue fonts means listed cataloged profile on rinks.

The Black fonts are rinks that are newly listed on D-R.  Newly listed before they change.

The Purple fonts means they are still operational AND up for sale.  So, in case they do get sold, they are added into black or green.  It is a "WATCH list"  PLEASE do support those rinks while they are still in business and/or consider buying them and keep it operational.

The Orange-Yellow Fonts means the rink in question that gives mystery.  Has no website but on Facebook it says it is still in operational or the date still running but not open.  Or has no website and Facebook but says still in operational such as in Yelp or even on Yelp has no photos, no comments but named the rink.   ALSO for sale up online and operational.  This is different than the Purple and Gold groups. This is the one really needs your help to let me know if they are STILL in business or not. ie- Rainbo Palace 1290 7th St, Fennimore, WI

The Violet Fonts  are the rinks that are gone but the business name or entertainment center are still operational.  They only eliminated the rink(s) for some reasons we do not know why.  But the business name remains so it falls to this group.  Sometimes just drop roller rink and kept for something else now with the rink floor still there.  Ie- O D Sports Crossing  218 Smokey St, Fort Collins, CO.

Also if there are no photographs but has information from sources, it is green as well.  But if it is just Google Map of location/photos but no other photos but has information are also in green.  Photographs are welcomed but we are trying to focus on photographs without people!

This photograph here is quite an advertising photograph.  Read on.

Picture
49th Street Galleria Roller Towne promotional media kit photograph.  Courtesy of 49th Street Galleria/Salt Lake City Tribune.  In my opinion, that is weird way of photographing those skaters.  The photographer or director wanted them to act that way.  It is a no-no for that girl who fell down to have her hands on the rink floor like that with that grown teenage girl slipping right in front of the girl.  injuries would occurred.  Should have not photographed that.  Should have all skating standing up.  With this photograph as it was like this, it can hurt the business more!  Yes, that rink is short lived.  Maybe this is why they are closed?

FAQ

-Can I add information about the rinks?

Yes, you sure can do that!  In fact, you can write email, I may use that and copy and paste onto the profile of that rink you are talking about.  You can even send photographs of the rink, whatever.

-Can I send pictures with people in it?  Sorry, That is all I have!

Well, you can only if they are in more of in the background and I am trying to focus on the rink itself, not about people at the rink.  If you think you can, please do email me anyhow.  Children under 18 since 1990s are blurred out for safety reason.  Prior 1990s are untouched since they are pretty much older now.

-Can I submit rinks I knew, or went, or found that are not on your website list?

Sure you can send me an email about rinks that are not listed.  Please remember it takes about 1 to 2 months per state to be listed and finish the list.  However, I will do that rink or those rinks you provided and do as soon as possible.  The goal is to complete all states by end of 2022 and will review and add any new dead rink all the time even beyond 2022.  Also I do accept any dead rinks from any other countries around the world.

-Can I help you, sir with anything for you and Dead-Rinks?

Sure yes you can!  first please read the process page how I do it.  First check which states I worked on and then you can go to the link page and get the list and shuffled to get it correct alphabetically order.

When you do that, you then can check each rink if they are closed or not, please read carefully how to color each rink.  Mistakes can happen as I understand.  But carefully color them correctly so I can speed up on searching by not bother with rinks that are open.

You can then look at each profile of rinks and see how it works.  Copy and paste and take some of those wordings out and fix it to match to those rinks each you have known or do each state.  Be sure they fit in ONE PAGE of MS Word.  then I can copy and paste onto Weebly to make profiles quickly for us.

Second of all, you can spread the word about International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© and get your friends to see it too!  But also go like International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© (Dead-Rinks) on Facebook and join International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© (Dead-Rinks) group on Facebook!  You can help get those more active by talking about rinks.  Please do!  I need your help on that for sure.

Also you can help by buying my merchandise!  I need money to be able to do many things for International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation©
