Second of all, all of those opinions are entirely my opinion and as a Baby Boomer growing up in the Roller Disco Generation of rinks. The opinion is entirely mine and is no way in harm former skating rinks because they are no longer in business at those locations. As for those other rinks in other area such as say, a chain. Say they used to have three rinks, now only one is operational, the rest of the rinks are closed, those I focus on those closed. I will give links to those still operational and give encouragement for skaters to attend. Links are provided for you to attend those alive rinks.
Having said, there are some styles I do not like or strongly discourage because it gives wrong ideas to youth to do the same thing. This means Graffiti. In most towns, cities, they outlawed that form of "art." So, they should not be in that form.
Like a food / movie critic, I am also a Roller Rink Critic but only on former rinks, but also I do give evaluations on still-operational rinks. At an active rink, they will be reported on Alive Rink section and they themselves will be evaluated like you seen on Yelp or Trip Advisor or any other websites what people have said about them. So, if any rink owners/managers are upset, this is purely opinion and it is up to them to design whatever they want it to be for those still operating.
I grew up taught that Graffiti is a no-no. Seen all the time on private property and it upsets companies, sprayed on public bridges, etc. I recalled a local restaurant was frustrated with this problem repeating. They had to keep painting a tan color over and over to hide the graffiti then they had to add a fence and several cameras and that worked. For sure there are people will say the same thing when they see pictures if I did not say a word. That is the whole point I made here. I am writing as I am in your shoes, Skaters, Parents of Skaters, Disco Skaters, and more.
One more thing, when you ask me to call you, I regret that I am Deaf and I cannot talk on the phone. I only deal with emails. You can also contact me through Facebook. Look for Mark Falso with the logos including the green backdrop of Roman Amphitheater (International Commercial Archeology Preservation© Group) and International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© banner and you will find me. Please keep in mind when writing to me. The emails will be helpful tool for me to copy and paste what you say goes on to the profile of a rink you submitted or to correct.
There are 2 rinks that has to be red fonts due to a controversy. They are archived because owner is upset and never heard from her again.
One asterisk (*) means rink owner or business dealing with criminal background. Two asterisk (**) means those rinks archived due to controversy (See above).
Thank you for understanding and God bless!

We do not endorse such illegal activities including breaking and entry of former rinks, malls, abandoned buildings, etc. Please always obey laws and regulations and property owner's signs. For abandoned rinks, after you receive permission, do WEAR safety OSHA equipment including a safety glasses, pair of safety gloves, an orange vest or a jacket, and a construction helmet. See photo above to see what you need. Only that you may not need headphones since they are quiet inside the former rinks UNLESS you are already at a deconstruction or demolish process. Same goes with construction of new rinks. Please check with owner, contractor, or someone in authority for details and permission.
Please note, we are NOT a real estate agency. We are just a historical e-museum and if you need to seek if a rink is available for sale, please check with that rink if they are available for sale that you are interested in OR contact your local realtor for assistance.
Another thing, we are NOT a teaching school for skating. Due to insurance cost, And I do not make any money so I cannot afford coaching liability insurance so therefore, please contact your local rink for a teaching coach. If there is no coach available at that rink, check out with USA Roller Sports and they will help you. Same with RSAI. They both can help you find a proper coach to teach you or your children how to roller skate.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. I provide what information from other websites, skaters, and operators and it may end up with different results between two (or more) sources. It is not our responsible for errors we caused. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Any revivalized or rebooted rinks operational today are included on the list since it is not about Dead-Rinks, this is now about all rinks and all history.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
All photos you submitted or we retrieved becomes property of International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© and International Commercial Archeology Preservation© Group. and are watermarked but they are credited to you (or where the source is from).

ONE MORE THING! This is NOT a dating site. Lately I have single females through my site or Facebook to draw my attention to them. Now I understand what it is like to be a celebrity. Yes, I am in roller skating world that I am a celebrity of sort. ALSO I am an actor. Please, if you are interested, find me on dating sites if you want to! (although I am not anymore!)
Thank you for understanding and God bless.
