Tuscora Park Roller Rink 161 Tuscora Ave. NW, Tuscora Park, New Philadelphia, OH
Tuscora Park Roller Rink was part of Tuscora Park at 161 Tuscora Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Tuscora Park was established in 1907. It had a ballroom dancing hall and a roller skating rink, and the flagship attraction was a Herschell-Spillman Carousel that was installed in 1947.
Today they do not have many of the original including the rink, dance hall and the original carousel. The park has renovated heavily ground up. I do not know exactly where it was. It was originally an Amusement Park but now it is a Recreation-Amusement Town/Community Park.
The rink must have closed sometimes during 20th Century. Anyone know about this rink? Please do contact me. Thank you. They closed the rink and dance hall leaving now more of a mixed genre there including a tiny amusement park and recreation park that has a playground, 3 sports fields including a Little League field, softball field, and a multi-purpose field as well as tennis and basketball courts. The park also had 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, amusement rides, miniature golf, as well as evening band concerts in the dancing ballroom.
If you see the website, they do have very limited amusement rides and recreation activities which is on a small scale.
The major fire destroyed rides, among other buildings and the roller rink was on Tuesday, 10 January 1961.

Got an email from someone who has a connection, sort of, to the rink. Her message was this (edited) --
My name is J.S.,
I was looking for pictures of the old skating rink (which I couldn’t find), when I came across your website. I thought I would reach out and let you know that it is no longer open because it was burnt down in (Tuesday, 10 January,1961). I can’t seem to find any information about it on the internet, but I have a picture of the old newspaper article, which is the only reason I even know about the skating rink.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to call or email me!
Well, a bit helps goes a lot, J.S. Really.
