Both are quite the same but perhaps one had the name Bloomington, their town included. However, the Saints as many called it ran for a time before the name Saints survived and it became Saints Bingo, a hall where bingo fans can play bingo. There is no dates of opening and closing and I have no idea. I searched online. Nothing. Anything? And any appearances? Please let me know.
However, the Saints Bingo opened in 2003 and has been closed for good according to Yelp however, Google Map showed their photograph of the sign dated June 2019 that it is still operational. We will see. Anyone? The date of closure for the bingo hall is unknown. Perhaps it is closed but left the sign on there. Now it is an VFW hall where this popular and good Italian restaurant is located shared in that location. From what I am seeing on Google Map, it does look very updated and nice looking for the VFW Bloomington's Veterans Club building. It even features a decommissioned Huey Helicopter rest by the building. From the look of that Huey, it may have served either in Vietnam or the Persian Gulf War I, maybe Persian Gulf War II (War on Terror -the Iraq War and the Afghanistan War on Terror).
From what I saw on Google Map, it apparently had Flat roof, cinderblock built building in a beautiful neighborhood right by a circle with apartment complexes which looked fairly new if you view it.
The fan page of the Saints Roller Rink at Bloomington is on set as private and there are NO photos, posts, etc for those on the outside like you and I. So, I cannot add that link as source here. We have a policy that if there is a Facebook fan page that is readable for non-members like you are reading this site, that is acceptable but will not accept any fan pages that refuses to open for reading. Therefore, it is a dead end. That is one of my disclaimer.
So, I want to apologize for any inconveniences that you could not read anything on Facebook fan page.
All I was able to retrieve is the logo with their mascot called, "Scooter."
It is said they were open during 1970s to 1990s.
This Saints rink was one of the franchised rink, see other Saints rinks in
Any more information such as dates, reason why they closed, and photos of both interior and exterior would be appreciated by contacting me at [email protected]
