Rollerland Skating Rink 415 Sha Ln, Spartanburg, SC. This was a standard sized 24,000 Square feet building. Perfect for prospective rink owners to see the size of a 24,000 SF building to see what it is like if they want to open up a mid-size rink. Taken in 2009. Source: Loop Net.
Sk8trz Family Fun Center 415 Sha Ln, Spartanburg, SC. The interior. Noticed the wall? It was kind of a sponge paint which was popular in 1990s. The green on the wall, well, its Soft Light Lime Green Light Sea Green or close to it. Source: Yelp.

Rollerland Skating Rink 415 Sha Lane, Spartanburg, South Carolina was a rink during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. One source, Manta said it was 1993 but I assume that is a mistake because of the Facebook group for this rink mentioned what decades this rink was. From 1960s to 1980s. However, there are many website links showing this rink so apparently they ran until recently. I have no actual date of closure. However, it is currently as Sk8trz Family Fun Center.
According to Google, it appeared that Rollerland was out of business before 2009 because a for sale sign was up front by the road and it disappeared after that year the mapper took that picture. Loop Net confirmed that the rink was sold on 30 October 2009. They may have opened up late that year as Sk8trz.
The Interior.
As Skateland, I am sue the appearance was quite different throughout the decades because they have been around since 1950s. I am sue major renovations occurred around every 10 to 15 years. I hope the floor was replaced because it would be more than 60 years. Or even 70 years of Maple floor. It is clear coated (non-painted) Polyurethane coated Maple floor but I cannot tell in the photos what layout the floor was. Or is presently as.
The current look under Sk8trz since 2010ish is Light Lime Green with Darker tone of Royal Blue. One of the many rinks with popular Green-and-Blue interior design ever since 1970s but not all of them, mind you.
What more interesting is that the interior wall has Steel sheet walls! Normally you would find that just only outside. But it is both inside and out. Having been in one of the Steel Walled warehouse like place where they had all billiards, the manager there said to me, "You noticed how nice and warm inside here and its cold out?" I said realizing, "Oh yes! Wow, that is nice and warm and sure is cold outside!" He said, "I do not have any heater on." Not need one! I like that! It was well designed and insulated building. Similar to this one even with Bricks outside. Very similar.
Yes, I remember it was 30 degrees outside but nice and warm inside!
I read in a comment section of the Yelp for this rink. Only one said in 2020 that only gave one star because his skates were stolen and they refused to hand back his shoes. sounds like he had rental skates and may have had returned back under his nose and not know about it. That is wrong. Should let him return the skates to get the shoes back. I recommend differently. Shoes in the lockers, Skate rental, use an ID or photograph a Polaroid style or something and place on the rack. If the rental really get stolen and taken out of the building, then big problem. All rental should have a tracking chip inside the stole. Just like some stores have grocery carts with a chip inside. Dogs have them, many merchandise such as razor blades are tracked from store to your home! I know that is Big Brotherism but blame on those criminals who are hurting us more than themselves. I recommend even your own skates to be chipped so you can track them. Police wont then you can get those SOBs like that. But do not take the laws in your own hands! Show it to the police and they will check it out for you. They will return back what is belongs to you. No big deal. If the police wont, you have the residence and you can find out and then have a server to hand over that person a lawsuit papers that they have days to response and that can make them give it back to you or they stuffer harder money losses than they did at the first place!
