Courtesy of Realtor. Sorry a bad photo. Date is unknown.
Courtesy of Loop Net. Date is unknown. Hard to read the sign above the door. Looks like it says something-Rodeo. Was it a bar and mechanical horse rodeo place?
All 10 courtesy of Xome. Truly abanded skating rink. It was likely closed before it became a night club with a theme of rodeo. Sorry no mechanical bulls, no skates, nothing to see in those photos. Just some wood work done for some reason I do not know because it was up for sale by owner for about 3 years.
In photo 1 I see 2 admissions. One on each side. What freaked me out was that I see an image of a spooky person in between the two doors. Can you see it? It was not because it was a black paint on window glass (never do that because it appeals off immediately and can make shapes).
Photo 3 showed an area where likely eating area used to be. You can see the wording on the wall by the ceiling, "Skate Pro." That was a pro shop. yes the background was red. But the night club removed it and added two emergency doors there and removing the counter.
Photo 5 showed the steps on the back counter of the bar. That is common in alcoholic bars so that they can show patrons what liquor they have. Beers are usually in refrigerators/coolers and tap. But wines, whiskey, volka, etc are usually shelved in this manner.
Photos of rink background were all black. They must have painted in black for the club. But for the rink, unknown colors but Standard Blue on half-walls were noted. Likely they had pretty much blues in there and maybe other colors.
Final photo- the bathroom. Very bright, modern, airy in there. You can see original Light Blue on the wall (bottom on the right and by hand soap dispenser on the wall. They painted into Lime Green, a very 2000s look. And they had a radio station number on the stall door as well.

Courtesy of Movoto. I see mural that says, "Super Stars." UPDATED: Yes, it was Super Stars roller rink there according to a skater who went there (22 June 2021).
Roller Kingdom 47226 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA
Superstars 47226 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA
Superstars 47226 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA
Roller Kingdom was once at this building on 47226 N Morrison Blvd in Hammond, Louisiana. The history of different businesses in Google Map is strange. And was up for sale for quite a while. Superstars was once there too.
But when Roller Kingdom was around, it was a rink there in this Red Brick front with Cinder-blocks sides and rear with a Gable roof and of course with a faux Mansard roof front.
Tonya Marie Ardoin registered, owned, and operated this rink. She registered it on July 16, 1980 which was likely have opened the rink in August 1980 and closed some times later.
The squeal to Roller Kingdom, Roller Kingdom II was established as well. Please read profile of Roller Kingdom II.
I could not find more information related to Roller Kingdom II but likely it was established by Tonya Marie Ardoin as well.
There is a conflict of dates of when this building was built. Loop Net said 1950. But Realtor says 1972. From what I am seeing the exterior design, it seems 1972 is the winner. From 1960s to 1980s Mansard roof design were popular. You know, your favorite (if true) fast food chain had them before boring Fast Food Graying Box of America look now. How true. But hiding behind is a Gable roof which is more practical since way before before Christ.
The most recent it has been sold was on November 20, 2019 for 500,000 USD. It was abandoned for a few years. I do not know what it will be when it opens up. I do not see any other information. I got this from Xome.
The building has never seen flooding. Has brand new roof. Entire building is 24 gauge steel.
Was this rink was at one time called Super Stars Skating Rink? Reason asked is because of the mural in back wall with that name. Many rinks have their names on the wall proudly. READ UPDATE!
UPDATE!
I received an email yesterday on 21 June 2021 that this skater went to this rink. It was Super Stars Skating Rink after all.
Superstars was the name of the skating rink at one time. It was mostly kids and after a certain time they would turn in the skates and just use the floor to dance. I used to go here all the time when I was younger. Never knew why they closed it down. It was super stars for only about a year or two though. Maybe back in 2008 I believe.
Yes I saw it listed on dead rinks. It’s located in Natalbany, Louisiana. I was looking up rinks in the area and ran across your article. Is that place still for sale? (exact copy and paste).
No, its not listed here and its not up for sale. I checked today on 22 June 2021. Sorry about that.
UPDATE! -- 09 February 2022.
I received an email from a family member that used to own and operate both Roller Kingdom I and II. Here is what she has to say--
My father, Anthony R Ardoin, built them probably 1978 and 1979/80??
My sister, owned both for awhile, Tonya Ardoin. She turned the Hammond [rink] I into “The Stampede”. At some point it went down.
Roller Kingdom II did burn down. I cannot remember what year.
The floors were Pecan.
Both rinks looked similar with Covington being bigger.
We had another skating [rink] in Port Barre, Louisiana.
My Grandfather, Raeburn Ardoin built about 20 something skating rinks in Louisiana.
Hope this helps,
A.
Oh wow, quite a bit of rinks your grandfather built! Care to list them if you can? Size of the rink floor for each rink. In this case, Roller Kingdom I and II rink sizes? Thank you, A.!
The Interior.
The interior Has a capacity of 962 patrons and staff limits. The real estate photos on some of the rooms I have questions but I can see the rink floor looked rather large, and some rooms looked like a couple of snack bars. Actually the tricks. One of the rooms has three-tier that is related to alcoholic beverages. They did serve alcohol at this rink. One for snack bar, the other for drinks. Likely they had another room for party room or for drinking only. I do not know.
The roller floor was Pecan wood. That floor is a bit harder than Maple! The pressure to mar was 1,820 for Pecan compared to common Hardwood Maple of 1,450 pounds (pressure to mar).
The Exterior.
