Google Map. Present day view of the former rink. It was very short lived.
Park Plaza Skateland 325 Park Plaza Dr., Owensboro, KY
Park Plaza Skateland was a rink in the current plaza called Park Plaza at 325 Park Plaza Drive, Owensboro, Kentucky. It was a small plaza though. Large enough to fill entire plaza for a roller rink. Maybe it was.
Bizapedia said it was registered in 1987! Just for a year? Really? They closed in 1988. Cannot be right. Anybody?
It was closed in 1988 according to a photographer talking about another rink nearby. The Skates Alive. Now that Skates Alive is no more alive either. He was saying that Park Plaza Skateland closed in 1988 leaving the town without a rink for a while.
