Courtesy of Skate Palace fans on Skate Palace of Morrow, GA group page on FB. The bottom showed night time! Beautiful with neon lights. Very 1980s look. But it was done in 2004! They clearly was making it as retro. And the colors on those lights were very 1980s Miami look. They were like over 500 miles away from Miami. Not too bad!
Old Skate Palace sign with that look very much late 1960s-very early 1970s look because at the time, the crowns and crests were popular for business logos (Seen Marriott in 1960s with that logo as in example?) Also you can tell with how the design on the sign was. those ovals with 4-point starbursts in the sign. Another common design from 1950s to end of 1960s.
The middle photo showed what it was like in early 2010s before it was painted over to all-Red trims. Likely around 2011 in that photograph.
In the 2011 photo on Google showed they had several bushes and appeared to be fine and decorate the facility nicer that way. But I noticed they slowly cut off or dug out bushes in mid-2010s and by 2018, there are no bushes left! Why cut them off? It does look good to have bushes because it is quite boring with that front wall with out any picturesque appearances for all skaters AND potential skaters to like the rink. Being decorative can increase business. Let me tell you a story. There was a trade show in my town and I had a booth to sell my published books. I had to make my 10 by 10 booth look very presentable. My friend who organized this show told everyone on this application for the show to have each booth to be decorative and win prizes. I won first place outright because I decorated with REAL plants I borrowed from my sister who is a landscaper and yes, potted plants that required 2 of us to lift and carry and placed on each end and decorate, etc. Did others do theirs? Nope. Same here with this rink that they should have kept bushes.

Fun & Games Skating Center, Morrow Skate Palace, and Skate Palace were all at where now Skate Zone is on 6766 Mount Zion Boulevard in Morrow, Georgia. Unfortunately. in my search, I could not find much information at all for those previous rinks. Just that it is Skate Zone now.
The Interior.
It had as it is still, a Maple wooden floor for skaters to skate and it has colorful dots for carpet. I could not see any much of it except it had exposed raised ceiling with insulation upon the rink's ceiling.
The Exterior.
Free Span Steel Truss Cinder-blocked built Warehouse-like Building. I could not see any older pictures however, I can see the Skate Zone's version throughout the years since they established that business in 2004. Google Map could only go back to 2007 in the majority of places, not older than that. By my judgement looking at the building, it appeared to be built in maybe 1960s. The appearance reminded me of a certain fast food chain, Burger Chef that it had that gable roof and the step up of matching Gable roof from a certain angle making it look like that beloved chain from the 20th Century. But it was not. The thick roof trim, and the angle.. you get the picture.
It does have neon lights for the Skate Zone. I do not know what it was like before that.
Skate Zone changed colors eventually in this history of appearances according to Google Map.
In the 2007 photo, it was all no good because of the sun glare as sun set was just behind the rink! No good. Next one showed. They had Blue background with White fonts. I felt I like this sign better than the newer one. Easier to spot and read from the road.
For 2011, it had painted Red trim on the roofline as they had new sign with Black fonts, White background and some redness in it.
Originally it was Off Green trim and Red replaced it. And the hue for the walls were painted more Salmon colored. It was more like a Jamaican set of colors with Red, Green, Yellow on the building or part of it. Were they related to the Decatur rink that was in a shopping plaza?
