Endwell Rollarena, 3116 Lawndale Drive, Endwell, New York
New Image Roller Dome, 3116 Lawndale Drive, Endwell, New York
Endwell Rollarena was a sister rink to Brandywine Rollarena in Binghamton, NY. Similar management and the name Rollarena was common for those two rinks. It was on 3116 Lawndale Drive by Kelly Street. It was Chuck and Millie Crandall who opened the rink in 1972 until he closed and sold to the other owner named Chuck in 1984. The second Chuck-Charles Pettus ran from 1984 to around 2008 with a new name, New Image Roller Dome (See that page here).
What was interesting the original Chuck, Chuck Crandall also owned a rink in New Milford, PA, Blue Ridge Skating Rink.
The rink itself was a domed rink with a Curved roof platform and the walls were concrete blocks. It had an organ playing there even through the Disco era.
I do not have any photos of the rink in its heydays. However, a Google Map shows its final days before the storied flood of 2011 however, Google Map shows it is still there as of 2018. Now it has tractor trailers, trucks, and earthmovers parked there.
The exterior was very basic design and I have no idea about interior. Anyone?
