CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Wow! It was packed and people had to park along the side of the road! After 2009 Google Map picture which showed no gas station but this one showed there is. It is on the right side. Source: Google in 2012.
CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Huge difference as this was in 2019. Sadly it was up for sale. Now sold. Source: Google.
CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Source: You can see the front doors. Boarded up to cover windows. This showed very 1950s Mid-Century because of straight lines like this one was common at the time due to very popular usage of manual drafting. Since this was built in 1960 Source: Showcase.

CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Closer up to the former rink. No signage since they never had it on the building. Only the sign right by the street. Source: Showcase.
CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Showing where the garage doors were in the rear. That was the lower level as said in real estate websites. Often people will think lower level with garages below the surface but that is not true. This building has had three levels. The front which was exactly same level as the pavement, then the rink area as you can see in this photo with many steps. Then the lower level on the right side of the photo.. It was the rear of the building. Easy access directly from outside by driving in. The length in the garage is roughly the same as an automotive garage commonly found in homes. Source: Showcase.

CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. I love those carpetiles. And the mirror. That mirror you saw was commonly used in 1960s and early 1970s. Even 1950s. That was called Antiqued Glass that had a texture design on the glass. It is pretty much extinct although if you can try hard to find on Google search, you will find them. It looked like Royal style. CN Skate Palace 3471 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Games! Air-Hockey is seen on the left. Airport, bus stations, or even hospital waiting room seating style. This was excellent choice in seating because of the side tables were used for you to put your skates on there or your shoes when you change them. Of course lockers (see previous photo shown in mirror reflexion). Source: CN Skate Palace Facebook.

There was CN Skate Palace roller rink at 3471 Concord Road, Aston, Pennsylvania. Their alternative names but they are the same-- C N Skate Palace and the main name was CN Skate Palace LTD which was owned and operated by Frank and his brother Nick. In Yelp, Frank S. explained they opened in 1981 as family-owned. Facebook where the brothers announced they closed on Sunday, 13 June 2015. Four Square confirmed with patrons' comments dated in between 2011 and 2013, nothing after that. All very positive reviews. I never seen a single negative comment for this rink! Sounded like a good rink by the means of staff, the interior, whatever the reason. Sure most of you and I missed our chance to skate this one apparently. It was a very good rink.
Wow, they even had adult skate that you have to be aged 25, not 21, 25 and you can bring your own alcoholic beverages but no glass bottles. Only cans and plastics. Must be reserved and checking IDs like a bar or night club would do.
Likely it was sold in 2021 since all realtor sites saying it is closed/Sold. It was sold for 1.5 Million USD.
The Interior.
It sure did have beautiful rink floor! I love the look. Upon looking carefully, it was Hardwood Maple after all. Some rinks had all White Maple. But this one has some Dark Maple. This was one of most beautiful rink floor I ever seen. Truly character. It had some dark rings, streaks, as well as light. It brings character on the rink floor.
The wall around the rink was apparently designed for Hockey. In this case, Roller Hockey. Frank S said in Yelp they did have Roller Hockey playing there.
It was very bright inside with White colored walls.
The main floor was 17,000 Square Feet while below was Lower Level Including 13 private garages.
The Exterior.
It was a plain looking Cinderblocks built warehouse! It did not look like a rink at all. It had Free-Span Steel Trusses but with Flatted roof.

Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
