This was Skateland before it became Star Skate. Only known photograph to me through Google Images. Wow, very colorful and very southern feel because of soft pastel colors of 1980s. Or you can say Easter colors without the Soft Pink. it featured Baby Boy Soft Blue, Baby Soft Yellow, and Baby Soft Green with White Canopy. With Soft Warm Gray, 50 percent. Source: Loop Net.
Century Skateland or known as Skateland evolved into Blue walled. First it was front then they painted entire facility in Blue. Which I like best? The first one and final one. Both courtesy of Google Map.
Another one of those all Blue building. From Loop Net.
Today, it is Star Skate which painted over the entire exterior. Of course, bright once again. But different tone of brightness. This photo above was a little Sun Bleached. The more actual color would be in next photo. This photo above courtesy of Google Map. Next one is from Star Skate Facebook.
The current Star Skate look. A huge change from the baby mood to 2020s Teens mood. This orange is more like Carrot Orange with Yellow stripe more Gold Yellow and the Canopy now in Gold too. They also have White background with both Carrot and Gold stripes. I think they were aiming for Copper which was very popular color in 2010s. Kids today are crying in their soda cups because of those dinettes are gone. Not outside anymore. Boohoo. Me too, I am crying...
If you had read the comment under "Interior" first before the photo, please do look at the photo again. It does look discomfort to some of you, Christians and me too. Its the upside-down stars. I know they did not mean to but the one on far right end.. does that look a little like.. yeah.. to each own opinion but no. They should use starbursts instead. If the Star Skate has a logo with some 1950s feels to it with late 1990s computer graphic work, then they should use starbursts on the wall instead of stars itself. It will look better.
The interior of Star Skate. Oh no! All those Toilet papers! We need them. Oh wait a minute, this occurred way before the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020. Haha. Source: Star Skate Facebook.
This is the interior of what Star Skate is like today. They retained the classics with the lights-- the UFO style Danish pendants and the Globe pendants. Ahh, this makes you feel at home in 1950s to 1970s. DISCOOOO!

Star Skate 300 Bizzell Ave, Oklahoma City, OK (Currently operating)
Before the current operating Star Skate, it was Century Skateland. Also it was Skateland of Midwest City which came after. It is on 300 Bizzell Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Century Skateland began in late 1974. It was first registered on 30 September 1974.
Boyd D. Anderson registered and operated Century Skateland.
The actual address would be in the Midwest City, Oklahoma location.
The start date for Star Skate is in 2013. It is still operational. Because it was Century Skateland during 1970s, apparently ran throughout till 2013 or before Skateland of Midwest City when the owners of Star Skate chain bought out this rink. They also owns rinks in Ada, Norman, and Shawnee. Chris Hale owns and operate all four Star Skate rinks.
The walking score is 59 which is pretty good for teens to walk over to the rink to skate so they can dream about owning and driving cars for themselves. I admit I did the same when I was skating before I owned my car.
The Interior.
For both Skateland of Midwest City and Century Skateland, none I know of what it looked like. But under Star Skate, it was basically White on about everything including the rink, walls, ceilings. They had those popular UFO style Danish Pendants hanging from the ceiling. Also color globe pendants as well. Very 1960s lights but very 1980s look with 1990s graphics in 2020s perspective. They did renovated a lot in 2020 during the lockdown and made some upgrades. They did not show the finished work photographs but only showed they were under construction. They had that beautiful stripes of True Grass Green and thinner line of Blue on White and it does border where they have that movie screen style screen on the wall. But they painted now all with stars everywhere.
The floor is likely Maple but it is White painted with polyurethane coat on it for protection. It has a star or more on the floor. All themed stars. One problem what I saw on reflexions on the floor from the wall when they took it, it really changed and misshaped those upright stars that were on the wall. On the floor reflexion of the wall showed upside down stars and it really changed shaped. I did not like the look of it. It looked very much of a satanic symbol. Sorry but this is my opinion. The shapes inside the star upside down really can show you the horns like, the ears like.. and that face.. I know its what called Pareidolia. Like commonly worded, Optional Illusion. This is based on images that are not there. Seen the Face on Mars? The Floating Spoon on Mars?
I love the art work but with stars shining upside down? Better repaint as starbursts instead. Starbursts are much better. If Star Skate has starbursts on the walls, it would look a lot better because it would be another mirror of the burst instead of the stars itself. You will see that in photos if you go back up and see it carefully.
During 2010s, they renovated and I saw on Yelp it was saying a new building? Was this a replacement of old one on the spot? Address is the same as the original. So, was it?
Overall, the appearance I would give it an 8 out of 10. the 2 is down because of that mural reflexion that looked Satanic on the rink floor.
The Exterior.
The exterior looked like a warehouse.. more like a certain hardware store that has that roof canopy design. It reminded me of Grossman and Mr. Seconds.
When it was Century Skateland, it was soft colorful appearance. Wow, very colorful and very southern feel because of soft pastel colors of 1980s. Or you can say Easter colors without the Soft Pink. it featured Baby Boy Soft Blue, Baby Soft Yellow, and Baby Soft Green with White Canopy. The rest had Warm Gray 50 percent.
But that was unknown date because in 2007, the maps showed it was Blue front with Gray side, the same Gray as in the Loop Net photo. Then they painted in 2011 with Blue covering the Gray. Entire front were Blue. But in 2013, it became Star Skate. Apparently in 2013, it became new management that owns 3 other Star Skates. Apparently so because they bought it according to Central Oklahoma Weekly.
I love it what they had at the time under Century Skateland the exterior restaurant dinettes. They should have those. This was way before COVID lockdown that you can dine out. But this is perhaps for skaters waiting to go in or for those who wanted to smoke cigarettes can smoke out there. Star Skate removed that.
It has colorful walls and a star on there as well. Really nice simple design and attractive appeal to public to want to come to skating. Not overly done. Just right. This means not entire walls. It cost more to paint different colors and more complicated work. I know so because I have painted walls like that and am a Muralist. I charge 300 dollars just for up to six feet by say 20 feet long. If so with this rink, I would have asked 2000 dollars INCLUDING paints, brush, tapes, and what's left is my pay. I would do that. But this design is good and save on costs.
Free-Span Steel Trusses Cinderblocks-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable. Said a new building according to management in 2013 as they were telling a Yelper that they were working on it.

This rink was one of few rinks the Anderson and the Kennedy families owned including Orbit Skate Center, Orbit 2 Skate Center, Rollaway, Shawnee Rink, and Henryetta Skate Center
