The Orbit Roller Rink/Skate Jammers Skate and Fun Center. They were up for sale in 2019 when they sold it in November of that year. This was truly a time captured because of the Red Carpets, White or Sky Blue Concrete, Black trims, White lights in a row, etc. Very 1970s. Courtesy of Xome.

Skate Jammers was once housed at 701 South Jim Thorpe Boulevard in Prague, Oklahoma which later became Orbit Roller Rink which is operational. Wow, another space themed name in Oklahoma. Rocket, Skate Galaxy, Rocket Skating Plus, and now this, Orbit Roller Rink. What is going on? A trend in Oklahoma that is space theme? Do tell! Why is that?
Orbit Roller Rink was established in 1977 and it ran for more than years according to Manta. But that brings a conflict because Google Search said it was Skate Jammers that is permanently closed and the Orbit Roller Rink is still operational. Google only has been around much less than Orbit which was in 1977 if that was the case.
Confusion because Google would not list a rink that has been closed before 1977 on first page. You know when you search for something, the result you get on Google is that on the right side of the first page of search, you get that result. In this case, I searched for Orbit and it showed still operational as of 24 May 2021. Then I wanted to know when Skate Jammers operated, it says Permanently closed on first page. Confusion. Anyone can clear on the date and ownerships between those two brands?
Orbit Skate Center failed to establish a website and not even a presence on social media such as Facebook. Failure to go online is dangerous to their rink's health. Why? Without any presence on social media and internet, skaters today would not think there is a rink there unless the owners of a rink would say they are in business and show schedules and what changes can make a difference. Without presence, the skaters will think they are not operational. A well known skater from Ohio told me that she attempted to tell owners to have websites. Its important and she said many owners REFUSED to do so. Why? Why they do not want to have a site? This is 21st Century and it is necessary to have such website and social media to make your presence known or forever your reputation is ruined for being backward. Proof or evidences are shown on critic social medias including Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Yahoo. Owners got it backward. Needs to have social media and website presence BUT ban WI-FI in the rink is the solution.
On Xome, it said that the building was sold on November 5, 2019. Was it when the rink names changed? Anyone know? Or there were no more rinks?
The Interior.
Really beautiful interior. It echoes 1970s interior décor of White, Red, and some Black. Red Carpeting with White walls and some Black trims here or there. Reminded me of some places with that look. A shopping mall in Wisconsin has that look because they were opened in 1970 with the same Red Carpeting, White walls, and Black trim. That was common back the day but the rink was merely opened in 1977 which made sense with the style at the time. For sure I would come to this rink because of the style I love. If you want truly original of the time, this is the rink to be at for the interior design.
The Exterior.
It has Sky Blue colored Free-Span Steel Trusses Steel-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable roof. It is pretty much hidden behind at least three buildings and this is another problem. Not only they are not present online, they are hidden behind three buildings.
