There was a roller rink called, Blazers Inc. It was on 7082 Big Beaver Boulevard, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. This rink was around 1995 according to Dun and Bradstreet website. May be wrong but that source is from that website. Likely Dun and Bradstreet err on the date. According to the appearance of the building and the decaying of the parking lot pavement, it appeared to be abandoned since mid 1990s. Enough time to break apart as you can see in YouTube. The architecture style screams 1950s with modern modifications of 1970s since 1960s and 1970s, Gambrel roof style were popular (remember Red Barn Restaurants?) Pennsylvania has quite a bit of Gambrel roof due to its Dutch-American culture and popularity with this architecture style.
It was right by a motel. Both are abandoned. It was closed and became a flea market. It appeared to be on a somewhat busy back road and cross street from a still-operating motel. Not the same one though.
They were demolishing the abandoned building in 2019 to make way for a new commerical building.
The building was two parts-- the one story motel and roller rink.
The Interior.
It appeared the location of the rink was in rear right side as if you were seeing from the road. Right side behind the 5 room motel and a flat roof big box style on the left side. They said it was a flea market on that side.
The Exterior.
The exterior was quite unusual. It was a mixed roof as it showed Flat and Segmental Arch. Clearly the rink was in the section where the Segmental Arch was as the motel was in front of the rink. However, the main entry was likely next door. Bit confusion right? Watch the video since this videographer explained clearly on YouTube.
The front door by the motel was Gambrel style roof door frame. The building was all gray in 2010s before dismantling to expose white walls. 4 or 5 motel rooms which made this extremely small motel. A couple of other hospitality were seen in Google map. One was on the right side kitty corner which is also closed. A very long two story building and the newest is Super 8 which shows very modern 1990s-early 2000s trendy three story hotel. Before that, it was even empty closed hotel seen in the 2007 Google Map.. no cars there! Not even staff or management at all. No sign.
This area appeared to be depressed economy because of closures.
Even the flea market closed too. Now this area has revitalized.. the hotel revivialized and a new commercial replaced the former rink-motel.
