X-treme Skate and Family Fun Center, 303 S 7th St, Corsicana, TX
This rink was a rebooted with new owner, Pastor Marc Smith and his wife, Sharla who ran the rink from 2005 to 2008 as a Christian ministry. Christian music, cleanness, because this was supposed to be a youth ministry building for the youth to be able to fellowship at the rink.
It was to be part of his church ministry for his youths from church to fellowship there. A youth center. This made logical sense because this being in the western end of the Christian Bible Belt region of the Deep South which ends at Interstate 45. and Eastern end was the Atlantic coastline.
The rink was originally appeared to be a farm. It had that look. steep roof pitch for a Hip roof style. It had that funny looking house-like from end to end on top of the roof. Red colored walls, of course but the interior was nice Patriotic colors including Blue and White. With red outside, that makes it entirely American patriotic feel. It even had stars hanging from the ceiling. It was very plain looking interior with a diamond ball and a ball of strobes.
It even had a stage for drama and skits and perhaps for the Pastor preach to the youths from his church there. It was a nice rink. That is too bad they ran only for three years for Operator Pastor Marc Smith and his wife, Sharla for their youth ministry. Still God bless them!
Sadly the building is still up for sale after ten years! It is cheap. Any takers? I would if I can raise 200,000 Dollars to buy it, fly down, and fix it up.
