WOW Family Fun Center 4900 Evanswood Drive, Columbus, OH. As United Skates of America Skate Zone 71. It has very unique design for the building and the sign. The caution lines or do-not-park yellow lines or do-not-drive-over lines in Yellow over Pavement Black color. Big glass atrium for the front door foyer before you enter the entire grounds. It has very unusual oversized sign seen toward the left of the photo. USA Skate Zone 71 is still operational. This sure is a WOW Family Fun Center, indeed! Get the pun joke? Source: Google.

Skate Zone 71 4900 Evanswood Drive, Columbus, OH (Currently Operating).
Skate Zone 71 4900 Evanswood Drive, Columbus, OH (Currently Operating).
WOW Family Fun Center was the name of the rink before the current operating of a franchise owned Skate Zone 71 under the umbrella of United Skates of America 4900 Evanswood Drive, Columbus, OH.
Bob Reilly who started WOW Family Fun Center was the operator/owner. According to Buzz File, Bob began this rink in 2010. Yellow Pages confirmed this. And the website for the current rink, did not have any about us page at all. No establishment date for the Skate Zone 71, no history, nothing. Hmm. Google Map showed me entirely different story. Many websites do the "Three-Blind-Mice" story that they copy and paste news and information these days. They do not check the fact to verify information to be correct. Buzz File and Yellow Pages said in 2010 it was opened as WOW FCC. BUT the Google Map showed it goes back further than 2010 for me to see the same area and it was Skate Zone 71.
When did WOW FFC closed? Or when did they changed to become a franchise/chain store for United Skates of America? why there is a conflict of date of business of operations.
The Interior.
I do not know what the original look before the Skate Zone 71 current look. With that said, the current one is very clean good interior design. I love the gradual colors although bit too much purple and pink. Yuck colors but good colors there as well to drowse out the 2 colors I personally dont like.
They have a center area where you can even walk over the rink to reach the center where they have half wall wrapped around and it does look like a DJ booth in centered as well. This means this rink can not be fitted for Roller Derby and cannot be fitted for Roller Hockey and Figure skating at all. About all except for speed skating. That is a drawback for this rink financially because with more different skating related sports, you can gain more profits.
I noticed many USA rinks have this format.
One thing I like is how you walk in the glass doors, it has a large glass atrium foyer before you enter another set of doors for admission and into the rink area. It gives that galleria feel of sort. Or movie theater sort of feel. That is a huge plus and seeing in original Sand colored bricks. Apparently the exterior was painted over the original color of bricks.
They have laser tag game area which was added in mid 2010s.
The Exterior.
The design looked like it has do not drive over parking area or driving area on the wall and even the sign--the yellow stripes with one half of top wrapped around Yellow paint job. But the interior, the original wall as you walk in, it has no paint job.
The sign is huge. Two huge blocks with regular sign above. Truly looked a little out of place but I believe the two thick signs was the original for WOW FFC, not Skate Zone 71. USA added the third part which made it look out of character. I like the original truly original.
