Wood-U-Drive In Skating Station aka Wood-U-Drive In Skating Rink was held at 9053 State Route 66, Oakwood, Ohio. This road is not the same road at the U.S. Route 66, the Mother Road that I spoke of in other states that was open in 20th Century from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica Pier, California.
This was in Ohio, period. It is closed according to Yelp and that is it. No other website such as Facebook mentioned this rink. Skate Log confirmed the closure as announced on Yelp.
However, it had a very long history which began in 1954 according to Rink-Time. If that is the case, it is a mystery no other information which should have been online. Anyone know more about this rink and photos? Please let me know.
Thank you.
By the way, the name, Wood-U-Drive-In Skating... is a catchy name with the actual way you say this, "Would you drive in (to the) rink?"
