Wheel Fun Skate Center, 1300 SE Lakeland Dr., Willmar, MN
Willmar Roller Rink, 1300 SE Lakeland Dr., Willmar, MN
This rink, Willmar Roller Rink operated after it was Wheel Fun Skate Center. They were on a corner on SE Lakeland Drive.
Manta says that Willmar was established in 2006 but closed for good. Yelp did not say what year at all. It may have been closed in 2016 according to a fan for the rink on Facebook.
It is a Free Span Steel Warehouse building. All Tan with Gable roof over the main rink and the other part is an extension that has flat roof. Currently occupied by a pizza shop. Likely the rest is empty space according to the photo on Google Map. Now skaters are going for a different set of quads called automobiles since a new car dealership opened up cross the street from the former rink.
Likely if you see the photo, the rink side of the building including admission is all Dark Brown Rustic Wood walls on the exterior. It is adjusted to the pizza shop which is in much neater looking exterior. I believe the rink has split up at the point of closure. The rink no longer in business.
Unfortunately, I have no interior photos of the rink so I have no idea. Anyone has photos, please let me know. Email at [email protected].
Pizza sounds good to eat! Yummy! Si.
