This rink, Wheeler Skating Rink was located at 942 E 10th Street in Cookeville, Tennessee. Not much information I could find but they closed for good and now it is a thrift store called, Serenity Thrift, a Christian based thrift store. If you are local, please consider shopping there to support your local Christian non-profit that helps your local town's population needs.
Well, Wheeler Skating Rink was according to Bizapedia operated from 1988 however, I believe they operated longer than that before 1988 because on Facebook, the mayor of the town recalled a Sonic Drive-In was located right next door to the skating rink in 1977. That places the rink around that time. But nothing about the rink. Almost had this as red fonted because of lack of information.
What interesting was that after the rink closed, it became a bar but not what you think it is. It was a video arcade bar! Yes, served with alcoholic beverages but that was a very bad idea because video games are usually marketed for age 8 to 18 and the bar in an arcade? No, not snack bar, I am talking about serving wines, beer, whiskey, etc. Wrong market totally. That is why I wanted to include that. Totally off. A big no-no. So, out they went and came in a Christian thrift store. That is much better than a bar. But sadly no rink.
And yes, Sonic closed too. No more Sonic next door. I see a car wash next door which I believe was where the old Sonic used to be. It used to be all entertainment then now, I see in the neighborhood, gas station, auto part store, car wash, thrift store, and new apartment complex that replaced an old Cape Cod style house kitty corner from the former rink.
If you know anything about this rink or any of the dead rinks around the world, both red or black fonts shown or already added profiles, please let me know. Thank you!
Trulia was only one that explained the property and everything lacks of it.

Gabled roof Free-Span Steel Truss Cinderblocks-Walled Storefront - like Building. Currently White walls. I do not know what it was like before the thrift store. The original was Snow White indeed but also the trims were Royal Blue as well as roofline Hip Roof in Steel Sheet metals in Royal Blue. There were a canopy flat above front door but the arcade changed it to Segmental Arch canopy but had beautiful outline mural of several games and arcade games features including an 8 Ball, Space Invaders spaceships, a city skyline, and a T-Rex on Lime Green wall background. The Thrift store returned it back to Snow White.
