Wheeelers Family Entertainment Center 1130 N Highway 171, Moss Bluff, LA
Wheeelers Family Entertainment Center was on 1130 North Highway 171, Moss Bluff, Louisiana. Yes, they did spell with the three "e"s in the name Wheeelers. The media announcing this rink closing misspelled it. It should be Wheeelers, not Wheelers.
Harold and the late Dorothy Huval, built the family entertainment center in 1983. Greta, and her husband David, leased the building before taking full ownership in 1992.
Wheelers FEC also offered laser tag play, pool tournaments, dancing competitions, foot races, bumper cars and a Thanksgiving turkey shoot that involved throwing a dart at a turkey and taking a frozen one home.
David and Greta said they are ready to spend more time with their own children and grandchildren who live in Houston and Austin. In 2019, during Christmas, they all got together, played laser tag and skated, a first for some of the grandchildren. That was the main reason they are closing. Retirement.
Wheeelers Family Entertainment Center was damaged by the hurricanes, and has been repaired. The building, and about three acres of land at 1130 U.S. 171 is now for sale.
Unfortunately, they have no website and only two photos on their Facebook page! Hardly any photographs. Anyone have interior photos?
