Google Map. Top 2 were taken in 2007. Below was in 2013. Originally was as We Skate Center then Star Wheels Skate Center.
We Skate Center 1635 New Columbia Hwy, Lewisburg, TN
Star Wheels Skate Center 1635 New Columbia Hwy, Lewisburg, TN
Star Wheels Skate Center 1635 New Columbia Hwy, Lewisburg, TN
Both Star Wheels Skate Center and We Skate were at 1635 New Columbia Highway in Lewisburg, Tennessee. First was Star Wheels followed by We Skate. Sorry, this is all I have for about them.
Tim Mitchell apparently sold the rink and sold items in auction. It occurred on Monday April 17 to Monday April 24, 2017.
The owner was Tim Mitchell and the manager was Priscilla Carmen under Star Wheels Skate Center and We Skate Center. Tim Mitchell also owns the Star Wheels Skate Center in Fayetteville which he owns longer- since August 26, 1982. Tim Mitchell was a race car instructor for Dale Jarrett Driving Adventures. He used to race in the ARCA race circuit.
This Star Wheels Skate Center was a branch of the Fayetteville, Tennessee Star Wheels Skate Center.
Apparently originally it was We Skate Center before Tim changed it to Star Wheels Skate Center as Tim wanted to show it is a branch. That is how I view it.
Tim also operated a storage facility immediately next to the rink for extra income. That was an easy point for any buyers would convert the former rink to a storage facility. And it did when Russell “Rusty” Varenkamp purchased the storage and skating facility for $750,000 on Friday March 31, 2017.
According to Marshall Tribune, this rink operated for 27 years (dated 2017).
Currently a storage place owned by Russell Varenkamp.
