The former home of the Wave Skate Park. The building was in Dark Maroon. Puprlish-Red color before the new owners bought it and painted lighter and more attractive. You can see the sign says WAVE very clearly. The main door was to the left side of that front in the photo. Yes, they had a garage door as well. It would be nice to open during summer with that. And for another good reason. Ask any Oklahomans and they will tell you. Hint, has to do with that very mean twist...er. Source: Google.
After The Wave Skate Park closed, Action Sports Center operates there since. It is in brighter colors. Nicer and covers the doors as you can see the frontage. But they also add things outside on the side. Scratchhhh.. It would have been nice just clean that area or cover up more.
And do the parking lot pavement again. That blue Sleek tall thing looks awesome in background although not part of the building but I love that architecture! I looked closer on the map, it is a nice sleek modern skyscraper. Source: Google.

The interior presently as Actions Sports Center. I do not have any thing for the defunct The Wave Skate Park look. Presently as an indoor basketball and football court. Plenty of room for skating, you hear that, Action Sports? Come on! Be a rink! Source: Zillow.
The Wave Skate Park 1110 NW 2nd St, Oklahoma City, OK
The Wave Skate Park used to be on 1110 NW 2nd Street in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This was not a roller rink per se but a skate park where roller skaters along with skateboarders and cyclists can show off indoors with ramps, half tunnels and more.
I do not see any information on when it first started but the building itself was built in 1968. It may have been a roller rink at the time but I do not have information on this so far but if any of you know, please let me know. But for now, I have information related to the former indoor skate park.
The Skate Park closed and sold likely in late 2000s before 2010s because Google Map showed the history of the location with name changes.
Zillow reported this site was listed for sale in July 2014 but it was removed in January 2015. Apparently changed mind not to sell. But on September 20, 2018, it was sold dirt cheap price of 75,000 USD! Ahhh! We all miss that chance to buy it that dirt cheap to turn into a skating rink! Ah! (Do not try this attempt at home. Pounding head on my drafting table). Oh why!?
The Interior.
I have no idea what it was before it became The Wave Skate Park. Was there a roller rink? As for The Wave, it was a Skate park with ramps and half tunnels and rails but that was all. The interior was twice as tall than most rinks I have seen. It appeared to be basketball court height, not a roller rink height.
It is now an indoor basketball and indoor football (you called it "soccer"). This now renovated place looked very much like a high school basketball court or a YMCA court. It can be done with roller rink once again. Many schools with gyms are using it for their after school activities with roller skating they rent the tour group.
The Exterior.
Free-Span Steel Trusses Cinderblock-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable roof. The building appeared to be twice taller than normal sheet walled warehouse buildings. It does look older than it was in 1968. But it was 1968 built. Really tall.
The Stats:
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: N/A. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: 10,920 SF. Built: 1968. Demolished: Still standing.

Acres: 1.3100 Acres.
Operated: (Overall)-- N/A to around 2008ish.

Wanted: Information regarding exact dates of open/closed, why closed, size of rink, rink materials. Also photos. Anyone knows or have photos, please let me know by emailing at [email protected]. Thank you.
