Troy Skateland 48 Pool Lane, Troy, PA. Old rink appearance when it was Troy Skateland. You can see the floor was RollerCourt. They are tiles. I believe it was added years after Troy Skateland opened. Courtesy of Sk8Zone/Victory Church.
Troy Sk8Zone 48 Pool Lane, Troy, PA Beautiful updated interior. So bluesy! That is Black Lights on to shine those Black Lights Carpet. The ceiling.. it feels like it is unfinished. Not mean to be judgmental but it does not look right. But the rest with the wall and rink floor are the ones you need to focus and brings beauty. Courtesy of Sk8Zone/Victory Church.

Troy Sk8Zone 48 Pool Lane, Troy, PA (Operational)
Troy Skateland 48 Pool Lane, Troy, PA began in 1959 and was operational until they became the victim of the Great Virus Lockdown of 2020 and closed on 19 March 2020 like everyone else. One thing though, they quickly sold the rink to Victory Church merely 3 months later as of 25 June 2020. But it was perfect timing to renovate a 60 years old building because of the lockdowns. They finally finished it the following year in 2021 and reopened in second half of that year.
Reopened as Troy Sk8Zone in 2021.
The Interior.
Troy Skateland: Had quite a bit of colors. Each wall had different colors. One was that Royal Blue with Lime Green wall, another different colors. Things like that. The other wall was Lime Green and Purple.
The rink floor was Concrete under the RollerCourt but likely they had Concrete floor since 1959. The owners of Troy Skateland installed RollerCourt likely after 2000. The new owners in 2020 ripped that out and replaced it.
Troy Sk8Zone: Mostly dark colors such as Black so they have beautiful Stars-like black light carpets on the wall representing like being in space.
The Exterior.
Troy Skateland: The exterior was a classic set of colors. Some schools would have those colors like my old school has those colors. Not the high school mind you. Anyway, they had Limon Grass Yellow walls and Deep Sea Green pillars on this Segmental Arch. The front door was on one end of the long building.
Before that, they had Deep Red instead of Deep Sea Green on their pillars. Interesting. And huge billboard like sign on the side of the building for passengers by because the road is quite far from the rink. It has that Arched cone like property where the main road is when you pass by. See photos.
Troy Sk8Zone: Updated with new colors. Brighter color background for the building and bolder and easier to see signs as Sk8Zone It is clear and easier plus they have painted sign saying about parties as well. It is quite nice design this time around. Makes you feel warm and welcoming.
They also have the sign for their church, Victory Church on the building as well. I am sure their youth ministry uses that as youth center as well. The church is merely about half mile south directly from the rink according to Google Map.

For abandoned rinks, after you receive permission, do WEAR safety OSHA equipment including a safety glasses, pair of safety gloves, an orange vest or a jacket, and a construction helmet.
Thank you for understanding.
Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. I provide what information from other websites, skaters, and operators and it may end up with different results between two (or more) sources. It is not our responsible for errors we caused. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
