Torchlight was a roller rink at one time but I do not know when it was sold and become the current Skate City Austin Bluffs. Skate City, a franchise of Skate City, Inc. Well, only I have some information about the building but nothing about Torchlight though.
There were some controversial issues at this Skate City involving many issues and even went on the news between two women over a skate helper. It even other controversial issues mentioned on Yelp.
Skate City apparently was sold but the Skate City is still there. The listing was on January 27, 2014 and sold on August 25, 2016. It is still operational. It was sold for 1.8 Million USD. The cost was on upper end of spectrum of rink cost to sell these days. That was in 2016. However when Torchlight sold to Skate City, it was merely 400,000 USD on November 2, 2009. Huge difference!
I need information regarding to Torchlight roller skating rink. Anybody know about this?
The Interior.
As Torchlight, I have no idea what it was like. No photographs available however, as Skate City, they had it very standard appearance of White Walls with Blue stripes.
The Exterior.
I do not know what the Torchlight roller rink was like but as Skate City which is still operational has very modern appearance with Cinder-blocks Flat roof building with Post Modern Googie awing with columns. Looks like something out of a theme park frontage. The building itself has two tones Grey, a Dark Grey and a Light Grey, both in Cold Grey hues. The awing is more colorful. Red roof with blue columns.
