Three Fountains Skating Rink was first then they merged with the Three Fountains Miniature Golf to become Three Fountains Recreation located at 2724 Emanuel Church Road, West Columbia, South Carolina.
Currently the building is up for sale for a pricy Three Million US Dollars! Woo! Wait, that is because it is a nice location with the forest surrounding with the rink tucking in the property. The Reverse L shaped building houses both Roller Rink and Miniature Golf Courses. It is a large 31,000 Square Feet building. .
This reminded me of another rink building with the similar size and L shaped building-- the Sports O Rama! Yes, that was the rink I skated at and this one is near me as I am residing in South Carolina! Ah! Sports O Rama had 35,000 Square Feet. Just merely 4,000 Square Feet more. But this rink feels more spacious and well organized than Sports because of the addition at Sports was the separated Dance Center. Three Fountains has very spacious off floor plus a space for Miniature Golf Courses. No Dance Center.
But it is on the market for 10 months and counting as of 01 August 2023.
Historically, Three Fountains Skating Rink opened its doors on Friday, 03 June 1983. The Phillips family have owned and operated the skating rink since that time.
By January 1993 the skating rink merged with Three Fountains Miniature Golf and became Three Fountains Recreation.
The facility is up for sale. the number if you are intersted, please check with this number: MLS# 550186 with the realtor, Graham Realty. Rink-History is NOT a real estate agency. Please contact that agency I listed. Thank you!
The Interior.
It is a beautiful Rectangular shaped Straight cut Log Cabin layout, non-painted, Polyurethane coated Pecan Maple Hardwood floor. It is a beautiful floor and large too.
It includes Miniature Golf Course with 9 holes on very Putt Putt® style putting courses. All straight lines. It also has 4 pocket Billiard Tables and numerous of arcade games (many!) and 4 Skee-Balls, an Air Hockey, and three Basketball Shooting range.
The Exterior.
It has a very much a basic reversed L shaped building with Gabled Roof, Steel-Walled Warehouse-like. Huge building that covers 31,000 Square Feet! In fact, the color is quite the same too! Royal Blue or close to that color. The extended section when you see the photos above (the first one), you are seeing on the left side extension of the additional arcade games and Miniature Golf. Clearly they added that section in 1993.

We do not endorse such illegal activities including breaking and entry of former rinks, malls, abandoned buildings, etc. Please always obey laws and regulations and property owner's signs. Some states allow purple paint on fence which means they even have guns on their property and have rights to shoot you. Please DO NOT attempt to enter property without permission!
For abandoned rinks, after you receive permission, do WEAR safety OSHA equipment including a safety glasses, pair of safety gloves, an orange vest or a jacket, and a construction helmet.
Thank you for understanding.
Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. I provide what information from other websites, skaters, and operators and it may end up with different results between two (or more) sources. It is not our responsible for errors we caused. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
