Valarena Roller Rink "Liverpool, NY"
A movie production from American High filmed this movie in late 2019 for a January 2021 release on Hulu as an original movie produced in Syracuse, New York.
They remodeled this former bowling alley, Lakeview Bowling Center into Valarena Roller Rink with a small rink they converted from a maple wood floor that they rearranged and made into a rink.
They filmed in one day but the signage and the remodeling was quite a which which confused skaters thinking it is a new rink. It was not. It was a sound stage for the movie, The Ultimate Playlist of Noise. It is about a high school senior who had cancer in the ear and it would damage both ears and will be deaf after surgery removing his ears.
He wanted to hear sounds and record them before becoming Deaf. It was Entirely filmed in Syracuse, NY besides the story was about him from Michigan and drove all the way to New York City. Some areas in the film was film stock especially New York City.
The bowling alley itself was on 715 Old Liverpool Road in Liverpool, NY. It was last sold in 2019 apparently to the American High movie studio/production for the movie for 97,000 USD. That was cheap. And they ruined the floor..but the current retail price for the building is 387,526 USD. A huge difference!
