Courtesy of GM. See how nice this rink building is?! Too bad they replaced with inflatable fun houses.
Courtesy of The Castle Fun Center. You can see if you look carefully on the floor. Its a roller court.

The Castle Fun Center Roller Rink 109 Brookside Ave, Chester, NY
This place is a full-entertainment center that includes many activities such as rock climbing, arcade, go-karts, laser tag, mini-golf, etc.
The owners wanted to remove and replace on April 1st as originally planned to replace the roller rink with inflatibles playhouses. There is a strong backlash generating controversy that people wanted roller skating back there. As of today, April 6th, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people are ordered to stay home. So, the changes will occur after the Fun Center is reopened at a determined date however, this is listed now because it is about to change and closed.
Dead-Rinks really strongly encourage people to sign petition to revitalize the rink at The Castle Fun Center. Here is the petition that we at Dead-Rinks signed: Change.org
I wish the owners could have expand instead of replacing the rink. The owners are not listening to the public's wishes to keep the rink open. The Castle Fun Center is still operational but the rink is gone thanks to the closure due to the lockdowns.
The Interior.
This rink had Light Blue Roller Court floor that is 10,000 Square Feet (SF) and it ran till Mid-April 2020. It had a large floor to ceiling movie screen for announcements and music videos I assume. They are heavy on blue hues there. Blue is very popular in 2010s and 2020s. Like I said about the floor- Light Blue with many squares of different colors.
They have a castle-like sections there for some things I could not tell in the photograph. They also have a few other colors but not much. They said 10,000 SF however, I had to figure. If it was 150 feet long, then it would be 67 feet wide. Not that big of a rink. Many average at 14,000 SF or bigger.
If they say not many patrons skating, then that size rink is perfect. Apparently they needed to advertise more on the rink. They did not.
The Exterior.
It is an entertainment center with at least 19 different activities. That is a lot of activities. Rides, mini-golf, rock climb, go karts, and more. The rink itself had been indoors in a two storys/stories high Free steel span commercial like building that has cinder-blocks walls, and another materials on second floor part of the building. It has a lot of windows on one corner. As for the main door, it has a rounded castle tower-like for front door. What unique about this place is it has a lot of solar panels. That is the only plus side about the rink building... for now.
The Stats:
Rink Size: 10,000 SF (roughly 150' x 67') Floor: Light Blue Roller Court. Floor Layout: Plain/Standard.
Building Size: N/A Built: 1993 Demolished: Still standing.
Type of Building: Free Span Steel 2 stories Commercial Building.
Roof: Gable with full solar panels.
Acres: N/A
Operated: As rink: 2007 to March 10, 2020 (due to COVID-19 lockdown order by the President of the United States). (The Castle opened in 1993 and still operational)
Reason for Closure: The owners saying, "Noticed the data that lack of skaters"
Wanted: Information regarding exact date of open, closed (mixed up on closing. Saying its end of February or mid-April but also the lockdown date was on or around March 10th, 2020). I would follow the lockdown date.
