Ted's Roller Rink, Hutchinson, MN
This rink is found in several historical media such as newspapers but lacked any focused article about the rink itself. Several Billboard Magazines mentioned the name of the rink and that was about it and a newspaper mentioned just a two liner or three that there was a fire in 1964 that the fire department were called in to put out the fire from a fan was blowing in the building smoke from the furnace. Skaters were evacuated for safety.
Ten years prior to the fire, on November 7th they had a beauty pageant at the rink.
I do not have much information regarding this rink. Just the Billboard magazine August 7, 1954 stated that Ted Henson was having his rink built with the size of 80 feet by 140 feet. I do not know what it looked like, do not know what material on the ground. All I know he built in 1954. Likely that is when he had the rink built.
