Courtesy of Four Square. The interior. Pretty dark I say. Not much lights! Of course they dimmed it but look at the ceiling.

Sunset Roller Rink 2237 Glasgow Rd, Fairfield, IA (and Putt Putt®)
This rink had its own sunshine days before it became sunset. It was very interesting location because according to the map, it was pretty much out in countryside and seeing from the road, you can see it has two levels. The first level from the road you see is a slight higher than the main road which was a Putt Putt® miniature golf courses and batting cages. Then the next level up is the skating rink itself. It was an Arched-Curved rink building in Red Bricks.
They had stair to walk up and down. Quite a walk. It reminded me of Fairmount Glen Miniature Golf course which is one of the oldest mini-golf in the nation that is down in the valley of this land near a creek. Well, this Fairmount, NY mini-golf course has a lot of steps. And its not handicapped accessible. That is almost true with this former rink with the stair. However, they had accessible-the road that leads from the street up to the rink so I am sure many patrons used the road to walk rather than using the stair.
Sad both the rink and the mini-golf closed in 2012 because the the photos from Google Map showed 2013 as new storage and tearing down the old mini-golf courses. And road paving in 2009 showed only vision-able was the mini-golf.
The Interior.
All I could find was one picture. It showed it was flat ceiling with foam panels, apparently looked low. And pretty dark. They had snack bar, admissions, rental, and bathrooms at one end. The walls itself were clearly cinder-blocks by the look of the photo you will see above.
The floor was wood. Maple wood that is. This is all I could find out about this location.
The Exterior.
It was Arched-Curved Red Brick building with likely Glass-blocks windows high above by the ceiling/roof-line. Similar to a rink in Iowa. I cant recall the name of it now.
It feels colonial with the arch. A fusion between Colonialism and Mid-Century. I could not see the rest of the building because Google Map has shown new storage building with bunch of garage doors and it blocks the view. That was where the parking lot was for entire entertainment center -- both the rink and the mini-golf with batting cages. They caged even the mini-golf section. It must be a nice scenery to look down to the Mini-Golf and batting cages from the parking lot. Kind of like Fairmount Glen Mini-Golf does with viewing. By the way, when you are in Syracuse, NY on vacation and no rinks in Syracuse, go to Fairmount Glen Mini-Golf during Mid-Spring to Mid-Fall annually! Awesome old-school mini-golf. Check it out!

Also Putt-Putt® is a brand name, not what miniature golf is. Like Roller Blades is a brand, not the name of inline skates.
