Courtesy of Kidstuffs.net. Only visual evidence I can find for now.
Courtesy of Google Map. Noticed the area? Gone. It became a parking lot and a store.
Starlite Arena 1634 Pennsylvania Ave, Baltimore, MD
Starlite Arena was an arena where they had concerts, skating rink, etc. The search on Google Map may have shown that the building was demolished because their red pin pointed onto the parking lot for a D-store (D-store means Dollar Store).
What the problem is that the map if you move back and forth, it decreases then increases in same direction. But zoom out, you get parking lot. So, if Google Map says it is the very spot, I take their word for it unless someone can correct me.
It was one of those 20th century auditorium similar idea to the Baltimore Coliseum. The place I have no idea what it was like and only they had was that illustration of the front with theater-like marquee once stood on the front wall as found on Kidstuffs website.
Dizzy Gillespie played with his orchestra at this location. Dizzy really got around at many former rinks! One was in New Hampshire, the Coliseum, and this one-Starlite Arena. He was there once in 1951.
The Interior.
Unknown.
The Exterior.
The Frontage looked very much like a movie-theater that it had a marquee in front with a huge roller skate picture upon the wall. Unfortunately I have no photo but just an illustration posted on by the people who made kidstuffs website.
