Can you see the building sort of hidden behind the trees toward the left of that parked vehicle? It has to be the building almost center of the photo, not the very left one. That was where the rink was. Now it is St. Olaf Park. You can park there and enjoy the day at this beautiful lake. It is like an oasis there because of all farmlands surrounded.
You can see the big metal roof just southwest of that red pin. That was where the rink was.
Final location of the rink after relocated. Likely that foundation-like was the location. Now its a grain silos.

St Olaf Roller Rink Ellendale, MN (relocated).
This cute little rink ran from 1940s to early 1960s was located on St. Olaf Lake in New Richland, Minnesota. It was just a few miles off State Hwy 30 between Ellendale and New Richland MN on the North side of the Lake…. It was later moved into Ellendale. I received an email from someone who told me about this other rink a month ago. This one her mother told her to tell me about it.
It Was a small rink built next to a small store on St Olaf Lake. It was a happening place in the 40’s and 50’s maybe part of the 60’s It wasn’t very big and they wore clamp on skates, rental was 25 cents.
She said, "It was a good place, my Mother says for the boys to chase girls." Of course! Most rinks boys would chase the girls. Hey, D.R. I have chased the girls back then too! And women when I was adult as well. I had three girlfriends thanks to those rinks in my hometown! I had crushes on some of them too! Hahaha. I am sure you did too had crush on boys, did ya?
But eventually the rink closed and it became a grain shed. It was located in Ellendale a block west of the RR tracks, and on the South side of Main Street
