Spinning Wheels 218 1st St SW, Clarion, IA
Spinning wheels was a rink in Clarion that apparently closed in likely 2016 because there were no posts in 2017 and beyond on Facebook.
It first opened in 1993. There is not much of a history to speak of.
The Interior.
The interior was quite vibrant because of redness on their carpet. Bold Red was used on carpets that were on the walls, rails but the off-the-rink floor was Ship Grey. With Snow White walls on. This showed very Valentine-ish at this rink. It had Maple wood but it was painted with White Polyurethane coated on it. And it was off-whitish.
They had columns where the rails/half-walls were.
It did look very clean and simple. Their graphic for the name of the rink was on diagonal however, very simple as it appeared to be vinyl decal. I am not sure if it was decal or it was paint. But it appeared to be a vinyl decal that is similar to a business would have their stickers on their trucks or vans. Kind of like a vehicle wrap.
Well, I do not have much else to see and they are all children in those photos so I could not use them. I wanted to see and use those photos without people around or at least much older than children.
The Exterior.
The appearance appeared to be church-like building because of the white aluminum siding and the frontage has a door and two windows. One each side with a 1950s style sign. That sign looked very old. Although according to the net, they opened in 1993. Was it opened longer than that?
The parking space was very limited. And very close to a smaller Gabled roofed building that appeared similar but different though.
