Smart Skate, 3301 Hannah Ave NW, Bemidji, MN
Wayne's Roller World, 3301 Hannah Ave NW, Bemidji, MN (Assumed)
The Roller World, 3301 Hannah Ave NW, Bemidji, MN.
All three rinks were at the Hannah Avenue location in Bemidji, Minnesota location. However, it was more of a questionable for Wayne's Roller World because it is listed as assumed name. It was just Smart Skate. Ha, the pun. Anyway, Smart Skate operated since 1983 but closed around 2000. Only 17 years the owner, Douglas Smart ran the rink. Smart Skate had a real unusual pun for its name because of the owner's last name.
The next owner apparently named Wayne registered as Wayne's Roller World but it was an assumed name according to Bizapedia. But likely ended up with The Roller World (according to Yelp) and they went out out of business at end of 2008 (Loopnet) or prior to that date.
The facility became a leased and finally is leasing in 2016. Therefore, this made it harder for me to get pictures of the interior. Thanks to Loopnet that usually remove all interior photos or all photos entirely when the lease or sale are final.
So, I would love to see what it was like inside and for this page. Anyone has photos of interior?
The building itself is a Gable roofed, free span steel building warehouse like. It has an entry section that is extended from the building itself. It has Plain Dirty Snow Grey color to the exterior walls with multi-tone Grey blocks for the entry section.
The interior.. I have no idea.
The Drop Zone was another assumed name at the same time as Wayne's Roller World was but it was The Roller World.
It had 60 parking spaces. Enough for up to 240 skaters including staff (not counting drop offs)
