Logo courtesy of Slapshot Sportplex, Inc. Original logo and you noticed, it has inline skates in the logo plus a hockey stick (looked more like a putter, don't you agree?) Also a ice hockey puck.
Courtesy of Loop Net. Noticed original colors. Nice vans there I see!
All are taken by fans on Yelp except for second floor view. I believed when they had ice rink and Roller Hockey Rink, teams played games so the 2nd floor was used for fans and scorekeepers for better view. Maybe cameras as well? Beautiful floor. When not playing Roller Hockey, maybe can remove those plexi-glass? It would make it more connected. Bottom showing an outdoors paint-ball game. Looks fun!

Above two courtesy of Google Map. Sign taken in December 2019 but entire place taken in 2017.
Courtesy of lets Roll Skate 'n Fun Center. Nice mural! Was it painted or done by vinyl? It looks too perfect to be painted by mural and it is hard to paint on Cinder-blocks.

Slapshots Family Skate Center which is under the Slapshot Sportplex was a multi-entertainment/recreation center and now it is Lets Roll Skate 'n Fun Center. They had more than just roller skating. They even had paint=ball complex outdoors. Perhaps during 3 out of 4 seasons.
It was opened in 1998 in Cumming, GA as Slapshots Sportplex / Slapshots Family Skate Center until 2017 when it became Lets Roll Skate 'n Fun Center. Someone on Yelp said this used to be ice rink converted to roller rink.
Penny Butler operated this rink along with her family.
Customer service is very important in any businesses. Pre-9/11, post 9/11 or Pre-COVID, and Post COVID, no matter what, you need to respect your customers. After reading a comment, never ever punch a customer if you are a staff. Remember, Dead-Rinks is a commentary talking about history of rinks and sometimes customer services too if necessary and this is one of the necessary to talk about. Like another rink with a gun and that owner was arrested and then his rink is gone. Sold. So, you need to respect your customers.
Everything I like to see this rink and was going encourage but after reading that comment on Yelp, makes me want to stay away from this rink.
If you have a problem with your customer, you must be humble and must turn your cheek. Its in the Bible and this is being in Bible Belt, come on! If the customer is out of control, then you can call the police or you should hire a bouncer or security staff to handle this. But to little girls, it is a no-no. I am surprised that the owner did not reply to the comment in Yelp to find out who is the staff that was threatening. I will have to take a trip there someday, LORD willing, to find out who and what and why this happened by observation.
The Interior.
It has that warehouse feel interior with exposed Steel Free-Span Trusses, Steel sheets walls, but it had everything a skating rink has: snack bar, eating area, skating rink, lockers, and skate rentals.
It has Clear Polyurethane coated Maple floor. It has paints lined for Roller Hockey and had walls and plex-shield like a hockey rink would have. It appeared they were focused on Roller Hockey at this rink. I did not see any Roller Derby rink outlines on anyhow.
The tables and booth benches were all typical at any rinks and fast food restaurants but the difference is that some of the tables had umbrellas on it. The tables with those umbrellas are rounded and they are White, not popular yellow.
They did renovations in 2019.
The Exterior.
It is Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse Building with an awning/canopy over head the front door that is on the right side from the road.
Originally, as Slapshots, the colors were Light Gray on Steel Walls outside with Purple on Concrete blocks along with Soft Yellow Stripe and a thin Green Stripe which is barely seen.
But for Let's Roll Skate..., it has two toned walls. Both two different grays. Light Gray for the Steel sheets, and Dark Gray which set bottom half of the building with decorative cinder-blocks. Again, the Graying of America. The trend. Let's Roll Skate could have saved the Purple because it goes with their logo color on it but turn Yellow to Red. No problem. It would have been more lively than going full Graying of America here.
The area looks very spacious outside with ample parking and no trees. While it shows the Faux Minimalist feel on the building only with the two-tones Gray, It could have colored a bit more. maybe add Red and the Purple, the colors of the logo of lets Roll Skate...
On the left end of the building as you can see from the road, it showed a smaller addition to the building and it has a phone number. It also has windows. By the look of it, it appeared to be a separate business housed there.
That lead me to see the sign and there are no phone number and no website for that rink. It can be bit of a confusion with that number on the far end from the front door. I highly recommend this rink and all rinks have their phone numbers on their signs and/or their website so people can look up for schedules, and to call in to reserve birthday parties or an event to be held.
Was that number for the paint-ball? I am not sure because I cannot read the rest of the sign on Google Map. I let you all know that I do not make phone calls to rinks at all because I am Deaf. I can use the relay but often times with relay... long story. It takes two to three times longer this way than direct call. Many businesses do hang up on relay calls because they prefer you call them direct so they can collect your phone number and use for their date mining or collect information about you (which is illegal in my eyes and due to the 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States). I normally email to them.
