Both courtesy of Google Map. 2012 followed by 2015 Likely the 2012 was originally the Skateland's color--Tan. The Carousel Family Fun Center was beautifully designed with paint. The A-framed front door Paint in Gray Blue as the rest were Faded Purple, Faded Lime Green, and Faded School Bus Yellow. They also had huge logo on the building after replacing the sign they had by the curb (see original photo in 2012 showing where the old sign was. Likely Skateland had their sign on that posted sign as well before Carousel took over. Also the stripes were or appeared to be faded Salmon Pink.
The latter looks very awesome design especially the logo. The paint, however, looked faded fast in two years or so after that Tan paint.

Courtesy of Yahoo. Beautiful art work. I know its all repetitive but still.. beautiful. And yes, those round benches were in the middle of the rink floor! Very unusual for a rink like this to have them as rinks hardly do that anymore.
Courtesy of WHCA9TV on Youtube. A good long 30 minutes video really covered every thing in that wonderful building. Remember this is still al live rink but it is up for sale and closed temporarily due to COVID crisis globally.
I really did not want to post this article but had to because look at the date! Did they make a mistake or was it done 10 years ago!? Ooohhhh the Twilight Zone*! I am hearing the theme song now. haha.
*Dead-Rinks does not own the music theme the Twilight Zone which is owned by CBS. Song: La quatrième dimension.

Originally, it was Skatetown USA and it did may sound like it was named after a movie of the same name. (You can watch on YouTube but there is no captioning and the quality of video is poor).
However, I see the name online but no dates of opening and closing of this rink before Carousel Skate Center/Carousel Family Fun Center took over. Yelp said it is closed but they never stated when they first open. Sometimes Yelp remove every information on closed business. Rink Time failed to mention the date for Carousel Family Fun Center. None. so anyone know?
As I recalled the owner of Carousel Family Fun Center at the defunct rink that closed in November 2019 said to me she owned this one as well and she said it is a better rink that is opened. Charlene Conway owned both rinks.
The scores for walking or taking the bus is quite very bad. It only scored 2 and needs to be car dependent. Location was not very good so no kids were able to walk over to the rink.
The Interior.
As Skatetown, I am not sure what it was like. No photos, nothing and waiting to hear back. But as Carousel, it is beautiful interior with wood floor that you have to step down from the off-rink floor. It is in Fan shape but what really gets your attention is very colorful very unique art work that was on the walls all around. It is a funky art on some as other more of folksy art. It is a mixed genre art. Well excepted planned for this art work. It is quite different than the sister rink that was closed.
The ceiling looks very clean and White, no water stain marks on the ceiling. It was well taken care of on the ceiling and roof for sure.
The colors are quite a bit and I cannot describe because they are so many but also they are so unique new set of colors appeared to be made for 2010s and 2020s. Really they do.
It was not neon like the 1980s and it was not like the 1990s motif colors either. It is whole new set of colors that I highly recommend many businesses use these colors for anything today to attract customers in this trying time in 2020s which might be last one but only God knows.
Some of the walls had similar designs that had funky curves of "squares" and "rectangular" shapes. It is not what you think it is from 2000s or 1960s. It is entirely its own new shapes. Other walls had starts and stripes and shapes. They even had more realistic shapes that makes it look like it is shining as well. I love the mural and art work. THAT is what rinks should be doing instead of that graffiti street painting that some rinks I have criticized and generated controversy with one who dislike my descriptions about their dead-rinks. But it is true. You cannot use graffiti to be used which you will bring nothing but trouble. This rink, on the other hand, did excellent on art work. Those murals are not murals. they are canvas-like art on the Cinderblock walls. I would say the interior tops the best of all. Best interior design award I would say for this rink. I am not sure if RSAI ever have such award for best design. Well, Dead-Rinks do by complimenting them in profiles like this one. Good job! Sadly it is up for sale and this could be all lost. Better hurry skaters, to take pictures of all the walls and send it to me and I will post it here.
The Exterior.
The design on exterior is quite similar to the closed Carousel Family Fun Center that closed in 2019. Same concept on the outside but the inside it was different but equally best. I congrats the owners of the rinks.
