Ariel view of the building. The rink was on the right side by the curved parking lot. Really modern building compared to Metrorock which looked quite pale in design. Metrorock is only entertainment left in that specific area.
Both photos of Google Map. Noticed how modern it was? At first I thought it must be whole building. That is what you would feel but it was not. Only about a quarter of the building was just for the rink. You will noticed where. On the right side of building right by where the workers now are working to expand the building for a party tent rental company.

Skateland Vermont, 8 Susie Wilson Road, Essex, VT
Skateland Vermont was a rink in Essex, VT which is not to be confused with the rebooted version in Essex Junction, VT which also went out of business after a very brief time there.
Originally the Skateland Vermont was Skateland Roll-A-Rinx (see page here) which was closed due to the owner's death and high estate taxes. Apparently it was rebooted as Skateland Vermont which was short lived.
This rink was a rebooted rink. Originally as I said called Skateland Roll-A-Rinx. However, it was also called Skateland Vermont at original location.
It was the son of the owner who passed away that caused headaches for estate taxes rebooted the rink because it was running well under original location. So, the son thought he would operate it again.
This rink was very much look like a department store building if you see in person. Flat roof "big box" style.
The rebooted lasted very short time. Opened in 2012 and closed in 2017. Three short years. Must be he had a three year business plan and apparently could not do more because of losing money, I guess.
The exterior had very modern looking department store look of 2010s. It was housed part of the building though. The rest was Essex Speedway & Action Center, a go-kart facility. So, apparently it was an entertainment center that housed both facilities.
The rink interior was pretty much modern plain looking without any murals and the snackbar area was in another room that you can see through windows. I feel that separation was a little strange to do that. Normally you would feel part of it even sitting down.
The rink was cement and the size was 80-by-180 feet. They had a pretty large number of staff at the rink topping at 12 people. That is quite a bit. That was coming from a customer's perspective that he/she counted at the time of operations.
It opened up on January 22, 2015 after three years of building a new facility with the other tenant, the go-kart facility. Was it under same management? Same owners or different people? Reason I said was because the go-kart entrance was separated from the rink. If it was under same door, same roof, as part of same business, that would have been wise and business boosting each other. Apparently both went under since both had newspaper roll covered glass doors and the construction happening next to the building in 2018 ground level photos of Map Google. It showed big dig.
Unfortunately, they closed in April 29, 2017. That is almost two and half years of business. Now it is a tent rental company resides there. That was way short time of business.
