The original appearance inside of Skateland Raleigh before they painted in boring modern font. This is similar to Roger Rabbit font. I love it! Courtesy of elizabethwesleyalley on Flickr. Notice also the paint job changed too.
All courtesy of Loop Net/City Feet except notice. The updated look with the boring plain font. But I love the color stripes on there. More updated look. Sadly it is sold.
All of Google Images. Noticed how purple those benches were. Haha. The entry and exit doors should have been painted because it does look drab compared to the wrapped around stripes and wall colors. Should have painted Emergency Yellow or Emergency Red. And the ugly furnace next to the tiny gift shop? Ugly! Should have covered it.

Skateland Raleigh/Skateland/Skateland Center were at 4350 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee.
This rink was part of a plaza with the name Skateland Center on the big sign. But the main rink is Skateland Raleigh as the sign said. The rink section was in the rear part of the building in the bigger section compared to the rest.
The rink was up for sale/lease according to a couple of sources on Loop Net and the document in PDF. The rink building was 20,000 Square Feet as the retail part was 8,000 Square Feet with several retail tenants. Hopefully they retain the name of the plaza that it was a skating rink there before.
In Google Images, I see pictures of skaters between 2017 and 2019 (no 2020 photographs available), they are very few skaters there. So, it showed me evidence of a financial hardship which may have lead to its closure and further nailed the coffin was the COVID lockdown.
It went on the market in June 2020 but sold on April 6, 2021. Yellow Place (similar to Yellow Pages but a competitor) said that it is closed and no schedule is provided.
The Interior.
It is a very vibrant décor in there with bold stripes that are actually black light colors. From top down, Green, Lime Green-Yellow, Orange then the rest of the wall to the floor is Red but with some exceptions such as Purple are on Truss posts. The carpet, while I love the color did not match to the rest of the rink. Really off. It needed to be of different carpet to match to the wall colors. With a dark background.. maybe Purple background with Neon Green, Neon Lime, and Neon Orange. That shade of green puts you back in 1980s. Bad one. Needs to come up with different carpet.
The floor is a LOG Cabin layout non-paint, Clear coated Polyurethane coated Maple hardwood floor. Good size floor.
The Exterior.
Free-Span Steel Truss Cinderblock-Walled Warehouse - like Building, part of a plaza. The roof was Gable for the rink section of the plaza while the rest were flat. Many thought the rink building and plaza building are actually jointed but they are not because part of it open through the canopy as you can see in one of the photos.
