Skateland Entertainment Center 251 Elm St, Chadron, NE
This two names are really one and the same. Skateland is most overused name of all time. Well, this one was in Chadron, Nebraska. The rink was operated by
This rink was in operations from 1966 to 2006. It was a beautiful rink both outside and inside.
Currently it is an animal clinic.
The Interior.
This beautiful interior had Maple wood floor that was clear coated with Polyurethane coating. The half-walls were all beautiful pine wood, also clear stained to match the clear coated sheet panels on the counter wall of skate rental and snack bar. All different wood and all clear coated. It did draw woodsy feel to a countryside dead-end street roller rink in beautiful Nebraska.
The original wall were Light Sea Blue but the remodeling of the walls were updated with none other than blue! This time it was American Navy Blue with Light Green. Those exact colors reminded me of my favorite rink- Empire Skates. They had exact same colors!
The Exterior.
It was a simple warehouse like building with a few windows. It is a Gabled roof building with Steel Free Span trusses and steel sheet walls externally. According to the Map online, it showed White walls and Blue roof with little Blue trims. I do not know what it is now presently.
