Google Map. This was taken in July 2018 of current tenants. This was where Skateland used to be housed in. It appeared quite different back then than what it is now with a lot of windows that are giving the garage door look.

Skateland, 2228 Grand Ave., Billings, MT
Skateland was once operated by the same owner of several rinks in Billings, Montana by the name of Joe Totten. This rink was one of numbered of rinks in town. It was housed in a Flat-roofed building with a limited parking spaces.
Today it houses two businesses that are still operational-a furniture/interior design firm and a pita takeout restaurant.
It had wooden floor. Likely Maple according to this photograph. Unfortunately, it was a Black-and-White photo taken around 1970s according to what people wore at the time. I have no idea what color the walls were. It was pretty much a simple designed rink with two toned- walls. One dark, one lighter. Anyone?
This rink must have closed when the owner passed away by the sound of this brief article in Billings Gazettes. (Link, see source on bottom). Then it became a bar or a microbrewery before present home for the furniture store/interior design firm plus pita restaurant (Food sounds yummy!)
Dates of open and closure are unknown.
