Skate World Family Fun Center, 1020 Boone Ave, Kingsland, GA
AKA Sam's Skate World (till December 2005)
Skate World was located in Kingsland which is just North of Jacksonville, Florida on the Georgia side of the border. I do not have much information and their website is gone. And not much information regarding to the rink on Facebook. It was first opened in 1998.
They do have a very few pictures but I have no pictures of the rink itself. Unfortunately. They closed on March 15, 2015. The last known operator was Rob Roberts.
It had two names very similar. Sam's Skate World, and Skate World. Also a website said it was called, Skate World Family Fun Center. First it was Sam's Skate World till December 2005. Likely in 2006 till closed up shop in 2015.
It is quite unusual not to have photos of the rink itself or even anyone on the rink. All I go were signs, ads, and several very closeup of people not able to show the background was like.
Only I have is the exterior after it was closed in 2015. It was taken by a mapper for Google Map in 2014 but had no actual good sign with the name of the rink. Just a small rolling sign with flashing lights arrow pointing to the building (see photo).
Nothing further about do except I can receive photos of the rink from you or anyone plus more information such as what kind of rink, what kind of layout, what was it? Or was it ice rink?
