Skate World 701 West Judge Perez Dr, Chalmette, LA. This is the current Lucy's Cue Sports Bar. Taken in April 2011. Of course, they painted over to hide the old rink logo and colors. Sure does look like a billiard table uprighted right there! Haha. Source: Google.
Skate World 701 West Judge Perez Dr, Chalmette, LA. This is the current Lucy's Cue Sports Bar. Beautiful interior. They darkened the building with all brown and a different hue of Green shade. I like the 2011 version of green and that green truly matches to the Billiards Green cloth. It is more of.. a hint of Blue in the mix of Green in the 2016. Not liking it. Source: Google.

Skate World / Skate World Chalmette 701 West Judge Perez Dr, Chalmette, LA. It is now Lacy's Cue Sports Bar that is really a billard hall with dozens of tables to play. From what I see on Lacy's Cue Sports Bar website, wow! It is untraceable to be a roller rink. None of that. Totally gutted into a real nice professional fancy professional billiard hall where I am sure professional tournaments play there. It is gorgeous now with the interior. It does not feel like a bar. It is more like a Billiard hall but fancier. Lacy's was established in 2013. So, it predates that for the rink.
If any international or national sports channel on cable or streaming gets to Lacy's for a billiard tournament, I recommend you watch them because you will see how cool the place is. I recommend both locals and skaters like you (as long as you are adult) go visit there for a couple of hours before you head out to the next dead rink to visit. They have deli and other bar food which sounded good. On Yelp, it has most 5 stars than anything else. It is smoke free!
I know, I know what you are thinking, you want to know about Skate World / Skate World Chalmette. Not much to go on since I have no real estate information that would be helpful, but I have Google Map exterior from the road and from space you can see. No other business licenses or registration either! Quite odd about this rink.
Sorry about that. There isn't much information at all for the rink compared to awesome looking Lacy's. If I was to make Pool Hall Alive website, this interior design would have been a winner over all.
UPDATE! --
I received an email from a C.S. who told me about this rink-- Here is what he has to say --
It was very 90's. Your standard arcade carpet and a large rink with a disco ball. It was usually kept dark and played a lot of music like Aqua and such.
That is all he said. He will supply photographs when he can so stay tuned!
The Interior.
As a rink, I have no idea what the rink was like. None of that. But the conversion to a professional billiard hall, wow, gorgeous interior that one area has a bar and that area and eating areas are on the ground level but they do have a big ramp down to lower level for fans to watch players play billiards especially in tournaments. It is well lit but dimmed to make it feel more homely and comfortable. Night clubs, bars, etc do dim their lights of course but this one is more lighter so that people can see what they are playing on the tables and the tables are well lit to see where you hit the ball. They have many monitors up hanging for fans to watch players play or other sports if no one is playing billiards.
Well professional décor style with scones on the wall, small cylinder lights from the dark ceiling that is painted black to light up a little bit but the Sconces on the wall lights up more.
When it was roller rink, it was a standard "Arcade" carpet with a Disco ball over a large Roller Rink floor.
Entire facility for Lacy's is Berber carpet.
The Exterior.
It was a very simple but complex design. It has a large tall "chimney" wall next to the stairs to the main doors. There is no ADA accessibility for Skate World because it is all stairs and so is Lacy's which is in violation of ADA accessible. Originally in Bright Royal Blue walls with the large italic fonts, "Skate World" on it.
Then it was painted over with Green then Lacy's painted their own colors and design including awesome lighted steps because of safety needed with steps. However, they still need a ramp. What if a world champion billiard player is disabled using a wheelchair? Think about that. Or uses canes or crushes. I knew a man when I was playing a league for Putt Putt® back in late 1980s. I was top ten player week after week. Usually top 5. Reason I cant beat this winner every week who played so well that he was on a cover of bi monthly magazine from the headquarters. He was on crushes! Just one arm he leans against and putt with his other. And wow! ball goes right in each and every time! I told him to go to the PPA to play but he did not want to. PPA is Professional Putters Association, similar concept to PGA.

Well, they do have a ramp there inside the building which is good news. Was it like that when they had the rink? That would have been a first. Actually second for me because of another rink in another state that has a ramp from main ground to lower to go on to the rink. I cant recall which rink.
The Stats:
