Skate Palace, 2015 Wheat Dr, Bozeman, MT
This rink was in Bozeman, Montana for a while and last one in town before it became a day care center. There was an article really had to correct because of poor reporting by the reporter at the first place explaining about it will become a day care center.
Anyway, it was filed to incorporate was on February 8, 1988 and must have opened that year and they went out of business by 1999 because of the new day care center renovated by ripping out Maple wood floor in this year August 2, 2000 article at Bozeman Chronicles online/newspaper.
It is still a place for children to go to though. Sadly, it is not a roller rink anymore. The exterior looked very cozy with a lot of natural sunshade for their children to play in fenced in yard plus automobiles to cool off in summertime. I could not get the photo because of thick tall trees covering the front. Smart move! Why? Protects the children from elements and nappers.
The building was, however, a Gable-roofed building that was likely build in 1988 to house the rink before year 2000 remodel into a day care center and kindergarten.
When they were about to reopen the building as a day care center, many parents thought the rink reopened and many children were send to the rink with their own skates found they could not skate!
Poor kids at the time that they missed skating. But at least for those age, they were able to attend the day care center before they head off to elementary schools and beyond.
Note- according to Realtor.com, it was sold in 2019. Still a daycare or what? It was listed in 2017 for sale at 1.6 Million Dollars. It was government owned at the time of sale in 2017 to 2019. Apparently government seizure for non-payment of taxes?
