Lakeland Skate Center, 2222 Edgewood Drive South, Lakeland, FL (Final rink)
This was another Skate Odyssey in a chain of Skate Odyssey company. This was in Lakeland at a shopping plaza according to a source on YouTube. However, I did not get much information regarding to the rink from other sources except for the popular video sharing website.
It was said to be a problem between original owners and the plaza management. Then the plaza management took over and then sold the business to new owners which changed the name. According to YouTube videotape date, the final Skate was on December 31, 1997.
Currently its a private school and they expanded into three building complex. Heavily renovated.
The Interior.
Hard to see in the videos. I will leave out till I get more information. Note, as of 6 March 2021, the YouTube videso are gone. The person is no longer on YouTube.
The Exterior.
It was a Flat roof Free-Span Steel Truss Cinderblock -Walled Warehouse - like Building. it had White background with 1980s look with Violet and Blue color and the black-white final lap checker wrapped around the building. It is now all tan color.
