Google Map. Top photo taken in 2007 as Skate East. Simple Brown looking trim, Sand color walls, Blue doors. This bottom photo was taken in 2012.
Unfortunately, I have no good photos of the old rink at this location.
After Skate East, it became martial artist centers. Two different MMA gyms.

Skateland and Skate East were skating rinks at 1836 South Woodlawn Street in Wichita, Kansas. First opened was Skateland in 1962 but they were reorganized as Skate East in 1987. Both rinks were owned the Glicks. Karl R. Glick Junior was the owner of Skateland but Karl R. Glick owned Skate East. That brought me a question. Why go from son to the father? Or was the Skate East owner was actually the III (Third)? Who knows. I looked into it and there were a few Karl R. Glick. The Jr, the Senior. The Senior died in April 1987, just three months after registered for Skate East. Likely that was him.
I could not be confirmed on that.
Skate East closed sometimes before it was sold in 2010 according to Realty Trac. Google Map backed up in 2007 that the billboard sign below the name of the rink has no letterings to say they are closed or when open or whatever. It did appear they were closed for a good number of years.
Anyway, after Skate East, it became a martial art school in MMA style, the Laselva MMA. MMA is Mixed Martial Artist. Then they relocated because I do not see the same address and they apparently are located at a different studio. It is currently another martial artist school, Valor Martial Artists. It is common many rinks were sold to martial artist schools because of ample space to do their chops and kicks to be trained themselves to be the next Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and others.
There is a conflict- According to Realty Trac, the building was built in 1978. Then why Skateland was addressed at this location and opened in 1962! Was there a building before that? And burned down? Good question. Anyone know about this?
The Interior.

The Exterior.
It had Sand paint walls on the side and canopy but it had Brown Bricks bricks on the front wall. The frontage looked a bit western or rustic style. After it was sold, it was painted darker where it was Brown trims above and added Bold Fire Red on the canopy. Both martial artist schools used same colors, no changes.
