Shirley's Temple Rollerskating Rink, 112 Fraley Street, Kane, PA 16735
Shirley's Temple Rollerskating Rink was located in a former movie theater house. The only evidence of the movie theater was the signage up front showing the name, "Temple." It was opened as a theater- both movie and as opera house after it was built in 1925. It was reopened as a roller skating rink in 1980 as Shirley's Temple Rollerskating Rink.
Not much information regarding this rink except for it was found in Yelp which was quite odd. The Shirley's Temple Rollerskating Rink as you can see the name is a play-on name for the Late Shirley Temple who was an actress and in politics.
Shirley's closed in the year 2000 after its 20 years run. The Temple building was sold in and reopened in 2008 as Corban's Roller Skating Rink (See Corban's page for further details and photographs that are named as Corban's)
Rink Size: Unavailable however, from a photo that the place was Corban's, the rink is quite small and appears to be 55 X 120. This is just merely educated guess.
Operation: 1980 to 2000.
NOTE: Any photographs of Shirley's Temple Rink would be appreciated, both interior and exterior. Please inform me. Thank you!
