Credit: SJ from Pinterest. It shows as Gold Coast. But the colors may be the same for Sandford, not sure.
Sandford Roller RInk, 2604 Miami Rd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Sandford Roller Rink was in the awsome South Florida region by the Atlantic coast side. The rink was originally opened by the founder whose name was on the rink himself like he did two other rinks in Massachusetts. He owned previous rinks before this rink: Sanford's the Gables, Deerfield and Sanford's at Mountain Park, Holyoke.
Charles Sanford opened this rink in 1947 and ran until 1960s. It was one of those ballroom roller rink. The Gold Coast which ran from 1960s to 2011 retained same building and the interior as well. It was pretty much old-school format that it was roller dancing, figure skating, elite skating but not Roller Disco era.
It was standard to have domed curved roof and it was all white. Likely the sign had Standford above the diamond shaped shape with the letters, ROLLER RINK.
The picture above is from Gold Coast however, the basic idea was the name change. More information are found in Gold Coast than with Standford because of the era. Unfortuantely. After Gold Coast demolished, it is a pet kennel.
