Both of Google Map. Top view and front view in 2018. No, that is not a space ship, thank you very much. Haha. instead, it is some offices there. Someone said it is hidden in there covered the rink so that maybe... they could reopen the rink? Only the Grays might know! Woowoowoowooooo. Haha. yes, funny thing, next door in a plaza, they DO have an entertainment center called Aliens 51! Me scratching my head why Roswell, GA is taking advantage of the New Mexico version of same name take on the UFOs and Aliens. Did this rink have any UFOs related? Haha.
Roswell Roller Rink 780 Old Roswell Rd, Roswell, GA
Roswell Roller Rink was not in the UFO hotbed New Mexico. This one is in Roswell, Georgia! Unfortunately I have not much to say about this rink because there are no information on the net. ONLY I got was a Yelp page for Roswell Roller Rink that they are closed. That is one proof. Realty Trac really tells me a bit of history for that place. That is all I can go from hereon. Currently it is a three sections business plaza.
It was not just a roller rink but also a roller hockey rink and this fan who informed me what was happening at that rink at the time. They were more into roller hockey toward the very end for this rink.
The building was sold for 1.5 Million USD on April 09, 2004.
The reason they closed were two reasons: 1.) Stiff competition with another entertainment complex practically next door (Go karts, movie theaters, mini golf, etc). and 2.) The owner of the rink could not refuse a real good offer for the rink. I can see why it was sold for a nice 1.5 MUSD. I can understand why owner sold it.
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
I do not know what the look was when it was a rink. Today it is a modern business plaza with services oriented businesses.
The Stats:
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: N/A. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: 22,800 SF. Built: 1980 Demolished: Heavily renovated into offices and business plaza.
Type of Building: Free-Span Steel Truss Warehouse-like Building. Now Stone-veneer and stucco walled plaza like.
Roof: Flat.
Acres: 2.16 Acres

Reason for Closure: Stiff competition with another entertainment complex practically next door (Go karts, movie theaters, mini golf, etc). Plus owner of the rink could not refuse a real good offer for the rink.

Anyone has pictures and/or information please let me know at [email protected]. Thank you.
