Google Map taken in 2008. Wow, look what was up for sale! Dang! I wish I could buy that tank!

This roller rink was at 115 Sherlake Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee. It was four rink names and they were: Roll Arena, Roll Arena Superskate which perhaps was official full name, and three more-- Skating Rink, Skatetown, and Westside Roller Rink.
It appeared to be difficult to retrieve information on those 5 rinks but one was listed with Kathy Fry's website, Do it in the Americas stating it was closed, no website and different party (not the rink's number anymore).
I have no dates, or anything of that sort. Anyone? The building was built in 1974 so I assume this means the rink was opened that year according to Realty Trac and the last time it was sold according to the same website was May 19, 1977. But I think they lacked other information that it was sold later because having four names in merely 3 years of business is almost impossible. I believe Karm Thrift Store opened much later than 1977 for sure. In 1977 roller skating was still the "in" activity thanks to disco! Perhaps the owner of the building kept all that time and lease it out to the rinks then last one closed and the thrift store moved in after they signed the lease. The thrift store said to be very good and popular according to the internet and websites.
It is a thrift store called Karm Thrift Store. It is a Christian thrift store. I provided link for you to go shopping there! You never know what you will find! Real treasures! Or for your needs. And shop locally!
UPDATE!
I received an email from a K.L who emailed me today 25 July 2021. Quite a bit of information here. Here is what this person wrote me.-- (Content edited).
The skating rink on Sherlake road [Lane] was originally Built-in 1974 [my research was correct]. the land and the building was owned by David Burleson. He leased that rin[k] out to a family owned skating family out of Virginia. [Their] last name [is] Steele. They also owned Skatetown number 2 on Broadway and Skatetown number 3 in Maryville. In February of 1997 the lease ran out [for this rink] with the steels and they did not renew at the new price. At that time the skating rink closed and was not opened up again for another year when Perry from Roll Arena in Oliver Springs took over. I was the manager of the Skatetown Maryville location from August of 1998 through January of 2000. Perry from Roll Arena went on to purchase the Maryville Skatetown location and the Broadway location was sold in 2007 to a local family who I do not know. Sometime around 2005, Perry closed the Roll Arena on Sherlake Road and then Karm took over the lease And the building became a thrift store. Karm still has a thrift store in this building. The Maryville location is still open as is the Broadway location and a location in Oliver Springs. My family skated at the number one, Sherlake Road location from around 96 through 2003. We were also the coaches of an inline speed skating team. If you would like to ask any questions of me I would be glad to talk about my fantastic memories of Skatetown.
The Interior.
It had Fan layout stained Maple wood floor. It was renovated quite a bit for the thrift store but I can see it still showed steel trusses exposed on the wall although they have White ceiling panels. Of course, all disco lights and ball were removed.
The Exterior.
It is a standard Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable roof. was renovated though for the store. Likely they added that sunroom into main entrance.
