Ledru Millspaugh’s Roller Rink 455 S. Absaroka Street, Powell, WY
Roll-A-Rena and Ledru Millspaugh's Roller Rink were held at 455 South Absaroka Street, Powell, Wyoming before it became a different farm and home supply store before Murdoch's moved in.
This one said that it used to be a roller rink at one time in that log cabin style lodge that is large enough to host the legion in it so must be the same with the roller rink. Then they closed and it became a farm feed and supply store. And again, another farm feed and supply store.
I could not find any more information regarding to Roll-A-Rena. I will wait to hear from the museum if they know more about the rink.
The rink was operated by Ledru Millspaugh. I found a few information that there were obituaries for his wife, his father.. but they are part of paid subscription Newspaper website that we do not open because you have to pay so unfortunately I do not have access. However, I found a piece of paper online that he was President of a Christian Sportsmen's Association, a Christian club for sportsmen (hunting and fishing). He signed on behalf of the association to preserve Elk and other games from being extinct (slaughter) and help those games increase so hunting can be legally performed.
For now, the picture of the building and the sticker are shown.
UPDATE--
Ok, you heard the Unsolved Mysteries theme song over and over in your head when you see the word, "UPDATE" Ha, they always have the update (I sure miss the series and they should have been a permanent program like 48 hours and 20/20 so they can profile each criminal to catch and trying to solve a crime. Not need the UFOs or Big Foot stuff. I know what you are thinking. Why not roller rinks? That is why this website is for!) Now, this is what the museum staff send me an email today on March 20, 2021-- (in italic). She was talking about a rink in Homesteader Museum before 1976. This one she was talking about this rink on this profile.. please read on.
Hello Mark,
There was a roller-skating rink in town called the Ledru Millspaugh’s Roller Rink during the 1950s. It was located on the south side of town, around 455 S. Absaroka Street, which is currently Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply. I have a fun story, which I have attached, titled the Romance of Skating. We have a little display highlighting the story complete with her skating outfit, Audrey is wearing in the attached photograph.
Later after Ledru's rink closed, it became another country general store with feeds and needs before it became Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply. Sounds similar to Country Max, Runnings, and that sort.
If I happen to run across any additional information in the future, I will definitely pass it along.
Thanks for your inquiry.
Please do read this romantic story that the museum staff send me about this rink. Really touch my heart. Many of you successfully found each other at rinks as I attempted that for years since 1978. So, congrats to all of you. Now, here is the link. The Romance of Skating. Truly touching. I did have girlfriends for brief time at the rinks-- Toni (met in 1980), Brenda(1985), and Becky(1986) and Mindy(1989). All at rinks.

I do not know the original color but presently it may have been the popular 2000s Sand Yellow color during 2000s. I do not know what Murdoch's color now either. But the Gable roof building had several pitches and height of the roof. The front had faux step roof pattern. Seemly the front may have been that front but the address is on the side of the street therefore it may have been actually on the side for the admission. I do not know. Anyone know?
