Rocky’s Roller Skating Center 272 West Ave, Tallmadge, OH. Photo appeared to be taken in between 2009 and 2011. because of Rocky's Custard stand closed seen in background under the sign in photograph. Likely both Rocky's closed in between 2008 and 2011 according to Google Map. Source: Pinterest.

Rocky’s Roller Skating Center 272 West Ave, Tallmadge, OH. This was taken at the time likely they were closing for good because of the way the operator's black pickup truck is parked with the front door open. Cleaning out? Perhaps. Source: City-Data.
Rocky’s Roller Skating Center 272 West Ave, Tallmadge, OH. The rink was on the left side. You can see the sign saying Roller Skating and Custard in far left. Source: Loop Net.
Rocky’s Roller Skating Center 272 West Ave, Tallmadge, OH
No, it was not a boxing character's nor the cartoon character's owned roller rink. it was truly called Rocky’s Roller Skating Center that was on 272 West Avenue in Tallmadge, Ohio. This rink Looked small but I believe it was large. But the property was rather very big.
There was the year of registration for this former rink on Manta, and Dun & Bradstreet. Manta has it that it began in 1979 while D&B had it also in 1979. It appeared to be correct on the date. The only conflicting date was 1984 as said in Rink-Time. I believe it was 1979 by the look of it.
The Loop Net of this profile of theirs said it was built in 1982.
I believe it was the same operator who ran the rink also ran Rocky's Custards, an ice cream stand in a Hip Roof hut on the same parking lot next to the former rink.
Rink-Time said that the rink closed. So was Google search engine said closed as well.
Loop Net in 2014 clearly said the word, "Former" roller rink therefore, it may have closed in 2014 and was put up for lease.
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
It was a very simple storefront building with a lot of windows and glass doors. Very standard plaza-like building but it was a duplex where the rink was. According to the Loop-Net, it showed a very large property. It appeared to be at least 7 acres in my humble opinon because the real estate website failed to mention the size of the land. There was a conflict of sizing. One Loop Net said 34,000 Square Feet but the other said 38,000 Square Feet. Which one is for sure? It was a Flat-roof building. it is part of the 13.6000 Acres.
